It's just Nintendo's (shitty) style of business. Wii was all about artificial demand generation, they do that with their collectible toys and now with this retro console.

Build small numbers, if it doesn't sell, no problem. If it does, keep building in small numbers and send out PR after PR about how they can't keep up with demand and that this is a must have item this holiday season.

Shoppers is my go to for releases like this nobody suspects it. I use to hit blockbuster too. I'll wait for a retro snes then I'll get one of those.

McKenzine Towne must be the only Shoppers in the city that doesn't sell nice stuff then as they don't have anything there unless you want a stupid keyboard and other misc junky electronics sitting on a shelf

Walmart Royal Oak showed stock online last night we drove up just to see, there were 10 us of by 9:40 pm. The cart was loaded with stock in the morning, they told us there was no way they could sell before the 7 am opening time. Was back home and had one ordered online via EB games at 10:30 pm so I didn't have to line up for one. Obviously not playing yet which is highly disappointing, but it will be here Monday. it's all my husband wanted. All the other systems were bought for the kids, this one is for him.

Woke up early this morning to go to toys r us sunridge which opened at 9am. Got there at 8am. Huge line up of ppl, and the first 18 got one. No dice

Raced to bestbuy as it opened at 10am. Lined up for 20 min only to be told that i was #33 (they only had 30 tickets)

I give up lol

ya I was in line at cross iron for 1.5 hours and they ran out about 20 people before me. If anyone knows of one somewhere else that's retail price, let me know.

I did check out Toys R Us too on Mcleod by Southland there - only had 12. The first 12 got them.

Superstore used to be my go to for this stuff, was able to find a Wii and Guitar Hero years ago on first day release with no lines. Not anymore though.

Checked kijiji and saw some peeps selling two and I think some guy earlier had 6...WTF!!! I can't even get 1.

well i hit 3 places and waited in line for over 2 hours and went to 2 towns to get one and I still didn't find one. if anyone does end up finding one and you can buy 2, I'd be grateful if you got me one (I'll pay for it obviously)

yeah same situation here, lined up at walmart, 60 people, 18 units (Pathetic if you ask me), no dice for me, if anybody happens to have a spare, which i am sure is not likely, i'd like to get one for my son for xmas.
