can my 770 gtx use rift or vive?
Ordered a rift and supposed to arrive on Friday. Picked up a few games to play, anyone have any free games they liked that they'd recommend? Lots of games seem neat but 10-20$ for 2-3hrs of gameplay isn't worth it for me atm.
Minimum is a 970 or equivalent. But i think good VR will need 1080.Originally posted by Boosted131

This is probably why adoption rate is so slow on PC based VR.
I have a 1070, can post feedback once I've tried a few games.Originally posted by Xtrema

Bought project cars and really excited to try that. But have nowhere to mount my G27 wheel in my new condo so need to figure something out tonight

A bit steep but sounds like a good way for untethered experience.

Anyone getting the Vive Pro? I ordered on April 5th, still waiting for it to ship, seems like it's back-ordered.
Never had a VR system at home before, pretty stoked to get it! The complete package (Vive Pro HMD + 1.0 accessories) was $1440 CDN all in... not sure if I should wait for this thing to ship or just cancel and get a Vive 1.0 for half the price.
Anyone been here yet?

Been 10 days, Vive Pro still hasn't shipped... reading reviews that it's not that much better than the OG one, may pick up the original from MemEx today. Been getting all stoked on VR and HTC has had no follow through. I don't want to get an Oculus because I don't want to support Facebook, not many options out there.

Already have an Oculus and I don't see an upgrade warranted until a wireless HMD is released.

Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
I was excited for the Vive Pro launch but was put off by HTC price gouging for an incremental step that only matched the Samsung Odyssey in resolution and did not get rid of SDE.
So I will sit back and see if Pimax 5k/8k deliver and make a decision in late 2018.
For now I jumped on the $199 Lenovo Explorer sale last week.
FB is debuting a new oculus quest today.

Anyone else picking one up? Just pre-ordered the Quest 2. Since I don't have a desktop this seems like a no brainer to enter the world of VR, especially for the price.
My last VR experience was the Samsung VR with my S8+ so this should be a nice step up.
Doesn't look like much of an upgrade from the Rift S from what I can see - you will still need to plug it in to a PC for good performance. I was really hoping for a major bump in resolution as all current VR headsets have obvious SDE.
If you aren't using it with a PC anyway, then its the one to get.
This is cool. I really need to catch up on this VR thing.
I have a HTC Vive. Use it regularly, for what the system is I love it, even considering it is going on being over 4 years old. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It's actually quite disappointing that the games have not kept up to the systems. I think VR is still too much $$$ to be viable, and the game selection shows that.
