They say that an unusual amount of male latinos voted for Trump, full knowing that he pretty much is a racist.

White people may find this hard to believe, but you really kind of get used to racism like a cold winter day. Sure it sucks, but that's really not going to stop you. Most people just put on the protective toque grin and live with it.

I'm not totally sure that it works in the same way for sexism and women... In fact, it never seems to be that way.

I think that depends on what you are talking about.

The Donald openly opposes gay marriage and has talked about repealing executive orders (didn't specifically single out that one but made essentially blanket statements that would include it). Pence signed a bill in Indiana that would have made it legal to jail people based on their sexual orientation.

In that arena Americans will be lucky if they see no progress but I'm guessing they will actually see a regression in gay rights.

It's funny how liberal north americans have this ingrained sense of entitlement to being the "righteous" ones that know the only true path forward, and everyone else stands in their way. Its almost biblical/evangelical on their part. A religion that has only one god: humanity and its desires.

Funnily enough as well, from liberals perspectives of "experiencing other cultures" and "being educated", they really don't seem to have the slightest fucking clue that some people don't care one iota for their ideas or beliefs, and never will.

I'm not going to comment directly on either of those, as it serves no purpose but to somehow give some sort of validation to your inane arguments/ideas which have little basis in reality or even remotely come close to what actually happened/was said/was done.

As for the word regressive, inherent in its use is a negativity. Change though? Change is change, very neutral term. You can try and spin it however you want. Clearly some people want change one way or the other. Who are you to say that somehow their change isn't for the better or is not "right"?

Well can do whatever they want for the next 2 years. If they can keep the mid term election in mind, I think Trump won't go too crazy as many think he will.

I still think Trump probably didn't plan on winning. This gotta be some sort of jail sentence for him. There is no way I want to a US president in my 70s.
