It's not all electric - maybe they should make an i3 sedan and then poke fun at tesla, not really a true comparison so the ad will just cause controversy with tesla buyers.

Plug in Hybrids are all electric if you don't put any gas in the tank haha.

Both 330e and c350e are mild plug-in hybrid that delivers only 14-20 miles range per charge in real life. No better than Prius Plug in and way less than Volt.

And you lose 100L of trunk space in doing so.

Ad is deceptive but it works in bringing awareness.

Its a pretty dumb commercial overall, cheapens the brand. I think the cars are good enough to stand on their own without the need for cheap jabs.

imo if BMW wants to take a real jab at Tesla then they should get on with releasing the i5. Aside from that admit they aren't targeting the same people.
