I am in Edmonton on business and stopped by a Rogers store, the guy said they had lots so that would be my suggestion in Calgary.

Are the AirPods or AirPods Pro worth it? The price seems steep, but if they are an improvement over the corded earphones I might be tempted
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
Yes worth it.
Loved my gen 1’s which my wife still uses, really love my new pros.

I've had 2 replacements with my right AirPods pro. Both times it feels like some internal mic for noise cancelling came loose so any movement (including jaw movements) causes scratchy noises from that AirPods. I suspect something did come loose from the use of the "pinch" action since you have to pinch it fairly hard. Hopefully they've fixed it. Left AirPods has been fine since I rarely use it for any actions. Hopefully they've fixed it.
Still worth every penny compared to the handful of other headsets I've used.

Are there usually any mid-cycle sales for iPhones? Looking at 11’s or 11 Pros? The wife needs a new phone but probably doesn’t need/want the 12 like I do.
Oof iPhone 12 with 5G drool

Perfect; my renewal is around Fall of this year anyways.
Yea I’m definitely buying a 12 Pro, I’ve behaved and kept my X since launch, even considering a big one this time around esp if it has any features over the small one.
As for Apple products going on sale. Lol Apple would rather melt them down, your best hope is from your provider subsidizing them. Pretty unlikely though since iPhones inventories are starting drop because of the Corona shutdowns. Heard NY ran out of 11’s this week.

A couple weeks after the 11/pro launched, it was only an $80 discount to buy an equivalent xs/xsmax at the apple store.
Just scour kijiji or wait for someone to post one on beyond if you want a discount. Otherwise pull up your socks and pay retail like a grown up
I bought my current iphone from a beyonder
Make a deal with Shakalaka go buy whatever iPhone he gets next 2 weeks after he buys it.

New iPad pro today which went up in price $50 but now has 128gb base. Neat new keyboard/stand/case with trackpad and passthrough usb-c charging but.....$400. ipad os gets mouse support and track pad support on the 24th. Refreshed mac mini and macbook air also. Air I think price cut and extra storage and mini extra storage.

The air looks like a solid machine now. Upgrade the processor on it and it's on par with my base pro, but a little bit thinner and lighter.

The biggest improvement for me is the return to the scissor switch keyboards.
My mid-2012 Macbook Pro died a couple months back so I started shopping for a new MBP for a bit. I just can't get used to those butterfly keyboards and ended up finding another mid-2012 to replace my old one (which ended up just needing a new $7 harddrive ribbon haha). My single biggest gripe on the current lineup of MBPs is the damn keyboard and now it looks like that is finally going to change.
I’m hoping for a mini-LED screen on the pro and I might dive back into a Mac.
Though more and more it seems like what I actually need is another desktop, Having 1 device for when I am at the lake would be a plus
I’m really in no rush, my dell still works great. A new Mac is purely a want at thus point for me.

Hey guys, question.
I just fired up my old MacBook Pro that has been hidden away for a number of years. Is it possible to update to the latest software somehow? Or is it just an obsolete paperweight?
Current specs:
MacBook Pro 13-inch, Mid 2012
2.5GHz Core i5
4GB 1600 DDR3 Memory
OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion
EDIT: Nevermind. It looks like I can go to El Capitan first and then to Catalina.
