Faster processor, new gold color. That's about it. It looks like everything else is just software.

Weird all the rumours said there will be a new iPad too. I almost bought a new Pro yesterday to replace my non-functioning one but decided to wait to see what the new was going to be like. I guess I will go and just buy the old pro then.

Oof, I thought they would try to keep around the $900 price point with the Xr but it is $1029 (Up $100). About $60 surcharge above forex.

No new ipads so my pro is safe for now

Aside from DOF (which is software), zero camera upgrades. Exact same optical hardware, improvements in the processing side (could be hardware here). Doesn't sound like much improvements in video, which is what I care about. Same framerates and resolution is my guess since none of that was mentioned.

Finally, stereo sound recording during video on the Xs.

X had it on both

Chinese version of the dual SIM (physical) seems more usable than the eSIM version

I don't recall seeing it on the initial carriers list during the presentation. The only one for sure I remember was Bell for Canadians.

Not yet but I assume its coming soon since they are going to finally support the Apple Watch on launch, which uses eSIM. Bell is the only carrier listed on Apple's slides today for iPhone, and but Telus has had the Apple Watch for a while now.

How will people know I got the 512GB version though? They need to include a hat that says "512GB" on it.
