This doesn't make much sense. Devices are not allowed to be carrier locked in Canada anymore Are you financing the devices through Rogers, and can only afford to go with them ?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Doesn't even need to be in-screen. Just copy the Androids and make the TouchID reader on the side or the back of the device in addition to FaceID.

He mentioned work phone. Probably his company has a contract with Rogers for all of their employee phones. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I did until I found you can beat the system on a website. You can setup an alternate appearance and use a mask and it seems to be working for me so far. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Try not covering your nose tip with the mask when you do the setup; mouth and the rest can be covered. Then all you have to do is slightly lower your mask to make it work. My daughter has to do that for it to work as it won’t work any other way. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Anyone done a voluntary iPhone battery replacement through Apple?
More and more I read about the 2020 phones the more I feel like they are likely to be pretty meh, debating just forking out for a new battery on my X instead and wondered if people felt the replacement had a big impact or if it’s not worth it.
90 bucks to buy another year out of the phone is pretty cheap.

Those of you with AirPod Pros...are you constantly losing sound from one side? Just starting week 3 with them with this issue after week 1, and consistent over the last 3 days. Broken or common problem?
No, people with AirPods only constantly lose them in +15s.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yup. It’s impossible to own them long enough for them to break. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I had that problem, funny enough in the +15's, with the older original firmware. Haven't had that problem since the newer "worse noise cancelling" firmware came out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Darn, looks like they aren't releasing details of the new iPhone tomorrow. Tomorrow's event seems to be for the next Watch and iPads, with another October event for the iPhone.
I did it when it was $35 for my 1st Gen SE, totally worth it IMO.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Probably will do it for my XR next year.
Honestly the rumour people have no idea what Apple is going to take about when events are spaced this close together (within a month or 2)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Since we’ve had no vacations, I don’t need any more fancy cameras on my phone. Unless there’s some Touch ID or better Face ID when wearing masks, I’m skipping another generation of phone. XS for another year.

Really disappointed that the 2020 iPhone will not get the 120Hz screen.
What's the big deal with 120Hz on a smartphone anyways? Competitive gaming? I mean if you're competitively gaming, why would you do it on a phone? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The 120Hz LTPO display uses less battery life. Even if the user isn't gaming with it, it would be beneficial to have better battery life. I don't know about you, but that's a big plus for me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
