    So first, AirPods pro.

The ANC isn’t bad on a plane once in flight, but it lets in this bassy hum that makes it not great. The hum feels louder than with ANC off. Not sure why but it just can’t silence the hum of the engines properly. Because of the bassy hum in the background, music quality drops. You lose a lot of the bass response compared to a quieter environment. It almost sounds like the non pros, or a quieter transparency mode.

The Studio 3s don’t have this problem. It’s much quieter with nothing playing, and music sounds as crisp and responsive as on the ground. With that, I decided to try something different...

Double ANC lol. It’s surprisingly quiet even with nothing playing. With iOS 13.2 you can play music from both sets, and after a bit of tweaking found my optimal setting. Full volume on the Studio 3’s, a bit dialed back on the Airpods Pro and voila, great bass, even response across the board and zero noise listening to Beethoven, or the intro to Money for Nothing.

So ya, silence is yours for around $800.

Haha he's just making it seem way harder than it is.

It's just as easy for me to hit the lock button as it is the home button, my face id works perfectly, and I don't have small hands. Double click without dropping, come on

I will concede that being able to do it without looking at the phone at all would be nice. Just pull it out of your pocket and hold it over the terminal.
He's too busy looking for Airpods Pros lying about.

Btw rage2, I see there's a bit of white hair appearing but you haven't truly arrived as an old man until the lady at the registry tells you that she is changing your hair color on your DL - then you've officially reached a new level of oldness. Only two steps left for me, white hair and then dead.

    @rage2

Macrumors put out a list of tips and tricks with some buried AirPods pro features you might like.

I found enabling single AirPod noise cancelling and adjusting the force press duration to be pretty interesting.

Any of you fellas with iPad (Pro in my instance), have the port fail go charge? I'm passed the warranty period, and just bought a new Apple Cord this afternoon, and my iPad won't take a charge.

I have an older iPad2 that was doing this intermittently and then it would decide to charge as normal and for the last week it has decided a slow trickle charge is all it wants to do. Am using a new Apple cord that works sometimes and doesn't work at other times. Have cleaned the port with air blasts and contact cleaner to no avail. Doesn't make any difference if I use an Apple charger or not.

Very annoying, has me looking at non-Apple alternatives.

Probably just lint stuck? Just use a toothpick to get it out. In my experience air blasts never got the crap out of the port on my phones when they weren’t charging correctly

I literally fixed a coworkers iPhone charging problem this afternoon by picking out the lint with the sim remover pin.

But it’s an iPad. Doubt you’d put that in your pocket where lint comes from.

I was having massive issues with my X and carplay with this. Kept disconnecting over bumps.

Fished out the lint with a paper clip good as new.

Hah, it's decided to charge at a normal rate on a Samsung charger. Go figure, after almost a week of trickle charging.

That’s always been the case. But AirPods have their place due to size.

You don’t want to be one of those hipsters who carries their cans around 24/7.

I'm still trying to find someone that's done a direct comparison of the Airpod Pros vs the Jaybird Vistas.

Well shit, looks like there was a packed-in tight piece of lint-shit deep in there. Got my thinking, being gay, must be a bit annoying.
