Well after doing more reading and playing around at the store, decided the iPad pro wasn’t worth either the price premium nor the wait.

Picked up an Air gen 3. Seems like a pretty great package, biggest letdown is no faceid but I’ll live.

These latest iOS updates from 13.1 to current, have been terrible, apart from dark mode. Half the time an app just hangs when I open it, whether Safari, Mail, or third-party. Closing and reopening them seems to work but how can something so basic to the purpose of a smartphone suddenly become an issue, and one that they haven't fixed with 2 additional updates?

The app store still hangs pretty often for me when trying to update apps - same issue as before. So far haven't noticed any issues with other apps.

agreed, surprised how bad iOS 13 has been so far. Dark Mode is really the only thing that i like about it. Didn't know 13.1.2 came out... downloading it now, hope it makes things a bit more stable.

Dark mode is actually awesome on anything that has an OLED because you get a significant battery life boost - on anything with a traditional LCD though it's purely cosmetic as the back light still has to be on even to display pure black. Good to have the option regardless.

It doesn’t. I might restore my phone and iPad back to v12. It’s been a nightmare trying to use them for work.

My iPhone X has been running like shit the past few weeks. Apps keep freezing randomly or crashing, also noticed a surprising drop in battery life too. Pretty disappointed

If you've upgraded to iOS 13, do a forced reboot. I had my iPad almost die overnight, Siri using up all the battery life in my sleep lol. Plugged it into fast charger it could barely charge faster than it drained. Maxed out at 76% battery. Forced rebooted fixed the battery drain problems on both my iPad Pro and iPhone XS. Yea that's right, I didn't upgrade @Mitsu3000gt haha.

There's still time Then I thought maybe you'd break your phone and have to buy a new one, but you probably still have Apple Care left haha.

Ok everyone. Airpods vs Powerbeats Pro vs ______? My wife has airpods, and I like them, however they don't stay in my ears super well (and won't with earmuffs in winter). I'm borrowing some powerbeats pro right now and really like them, although I don't like looking like a cyborg when I'm taking a call in the +15.

Anyone able to sway me one way or the other? Or propose a strong alternative for true wireless?

Can’t comment on Powerbeats. But I like my AirPods a lot, though I near exclusively wear them at work at my desk.

Don't get AirPods if you're the 20% where it doesn't fit your ear.

there are rumours about a new in-ear version of AirPods, so if you're not in a rush i would wait to see if those materialize.

They also said it was going to be announced when the 11 was; no bueno.

Apparently, it would also have ANC and water resistance. These are the best alternative if your ears don't fit the AirPods:

Anyone have any experience with Apples dual sim functionally?

Been carrying around 2 phones (personal and work) and getting fed up.

Also curious if anyone has any insight into company security settings what the company would/wouldnt be able to see? Is it company software dependent, or can they just see everything?

My company has very clear guidelines around what they have/don't have access to based on the management software that's installed.

Only thing that I don't like (but hasn't stopped me) is that the phone is wiped with 10 unsuccessful access attempts. Not great if you have a toddler that likes to play with your phone.

Similar to cj’s point. Is the different lines and phone number really the reason you have 2 phones?

In reality it’s more likely that they don’t want you using that device for personal use, dual sims don’t solve that.
