so $500/yr is a normal user fee for Apple ecosystem? Sweet.
Wouldn’t say it’s normal. Not many people buy the premier plan. Really only worth it if you are already at the family plan but need 2tb of storage, in which case you get news and fitness for free as the difference is the same price.

What’s criminal is the $13/month for 2tb iCloud storage, but it’s sorta worth it for the convenience if you’re not poor.

I do like news+, I get digital versions of all the car magazines I used to buy. It’s weird reading thru them these days, how much ads are in each issue. Probably wouldn’t have opted for it if it I had to pay for it.

Is there a way to read Apple News on poor people computers yet?

I feel like every time I look into apple news there is some reason why I opt out.

I have an old iPad and iPad mini (mini 2 maybe? It's from 2013 or 2014) that are collecting dust. Not willing to give them away for free, but will to consider some nominal offer or trade for booze. Pm me if you want to chat more about it.

What is the latest gen of iPad's? I have the second gen Pro that I haven't charged up for months, should see how old it is by now if worth holding on to it or time to get out of it. I do have the keyboard and pen and everything so as a package it's nice to have. I replaced the windows surface with it but just couldn't find as much use for it as the surface ultimately. Other than travel, rarely ever use it.

The latest gen Ipad Pro is the 5th gen for 2022. Apple Pencil 2, M2 cpu/gpu, 12.9" screen, 128gp to 2tb storage etc. The regular Ipad is the 10th gen for 2022. Ipad Mini is 6th gen which is a 2021 model, Ipad Air is 5th gen 2022.

I'm still using an Ipad Air 4th gen, and I might grab a new Ipad Pro if there are any good Black Friday deals.

Base Ipad 9th gen dropped to $360. People must be tapped dry.

So is it normal for an Ipad to ask for the account password every other day or so?

Because its starting to annoy and freak me out.

Uh oh 10th gen. Not only more expensive, has a weak point where its most likely to bend? Still plenty of stock on 9th gen though, everyone is broke.

So with the Macbooks, is there a huge functionality difference for us guys that simply want to work from home versus the Pro models? I am talking basically just working online and accessing the work POS system through VPN etc. No crazy program design, art work or anything along those lines. Is it worth the extra $500/$1000 to step up a level?

Honestly the MacBook Air is the best laptop they sell right now. Whatever minimum specs get you through your day in terms of RAM and SSD size.

I have a 16” pro and it’s overkill. I knew that going in though. Only thing I really use on it is the bigger screen which is legitimately helpful for my work.

Just got my wife the M2 Air and she loves it. I used it a bit on our trip and it was pretty decent actually.

IMO if you need a more powerful MacBook you would know it. And future proofing is bs anyway.

    Use it. Abuse it.

I had been itching for new tech and first got the Samsung Fold 4 and found it way too big to daily so returned it. Then got a Flip 4 and hated having to flip for every little thing cause the outside screen is just useless plus the shift from iPhone to Android just couldn't hack it. Then almost got the pixel 7 pro but the fact that it's android still there so ended up just getting the 14 Pro Max. Back to familiar territory lol.

Will be throwing up my 13 Pro Max on Kijiji at some point so if anyone is interested feel free to PM.
