Even if they do carry the new card, it likely won't ever be discounted like the iTunes cards since you would be able to buy Apple hardware with them.

Looking to upgrade my iPhone 11, and not sure if I should just buy the 12 pro or wait until the 13.

I only use my phone for pictures, videos and media editing.

havent been following up the rumors for the 13 but I'm pretty happy with my 11 Pro havent felt the need of upgrading it.
wife has the 12 Pro and camera IQ might be better but not noticeable for social media post.

only thing that would make me upgrade at this point is usb-c which will most likely never happen.

All the rumors so far suggest it's going to use the exact same sensors as last year, which means low resolution, only 3 rear cameras, and image sensors physically on the smaller side. Aesthetics from renders look to be pretty much the same as well with large bezels, notch, and no USB-C. They might finally move to a high end display with LTPO/120Hz and an under-screen fingerprint reader which will probably be the headline features of the Pro Max and maybe others.

I’d expect 13 to be reasonably incremental.

Better modem and bigger battery perhaps. Sensor shift stabilization across the lineup. Probably 130hz display if that tickles your fancy.

Presumably the Canadian models will get mmWave this time around.

I plan on getting one after skipping 4 generations as my current phone is pretty spent.

Everything I've read says September-December 2021. With global parts shortages, release dates are sometimes more dynamic than they used to be. For example last year Apple had to stagger the release of their iPhones outside of their normally very reliable release schedule. I'm sure they'll want them out before Christmas if at all possible.

Anyone using an Ipad/Ipad Pro as their device in replacement of a laptop, especially for travel?

Currently have an Ipad Air 3 with logitech keyboard and mouse and love the portability and various apps for consuming contents.
If I need access to a Windows machine, I could always RDP via VPN to my devices at home or in Azure. Havent tried the experience overseas though which is my only concern right now, maybe let me spin up a VM in Europe and Asia to see if latency is tollerable.
I also started using OneDrive as my main cloud storage (no more Dropbox) and like the convenience of easy access on the Ipad including Word and Excel documents.
For photo editing, I actually shoot mostly JPEG now a days, for the few RAW files I shoot I dont mind waiting until I'm back home on my main PC.

My main concern right now is the screen size. Ipad Air 3 actual screen size is under 10", tempted going Ipad Air 4 or maybe Ipad Pro 12.9 but the later is going Macbook Air price territory.

Given iPad Pro and Macbook basically share the same guts, am surprised Apple won't let people run a version of MacOS either via dualboot or as a VM under ipad.

I’m very tempted to give using an iPad Pro as a primary device a try and just stick my windows laptop in the rack as a headless windows server to remote into.
