I'm getting screwed. I'll have to get Premier as I need the 2TB of storage. Currently pay $15 for Music and $13 for iCloud. I don't need the other services for $5 more.

I used to install the beta starting in July. Then I waited for GM. Then I would install it as soon as it was released. I forgot that iOS 14 was being released today. lol.

I hope Apple has some surprises up their sleeve as I am due for a new phone and the Pixel 5 is a no-go. Rumors are not looking promising but we'll see what the keynote brings. It's either a 12 Pro Max or a Galaxy S20+/S21+.

Hope there's a fingerprint scanner somewhere. With cameras not being important as there's been no vacations, fingerprint scanner is really the only reason I would upgrade at this point. X does everything else I need and isn't slow at all.

100% agreed. If they get that same fingerprint sleep/wake button that the ipads have i'm game to upgrade, but other than that i'm fine with my X.

That said, if there are any enticing black friday deals from any of the carriers like a device credit with the free financing, i could be swayed haha.

My x is shockingly robust. I’m thinking a new battery this fall and I’m off to the races unless there is a big surprise next week.

If it is a 60hz pro though, I think I would just pick up a 12 mini as 5.5 pixel 3 to 5.4 12 mini isn't fine with me.

I may have missed them, but I don't remember any big Black Friday deals to get excited about when we upgraded my wife's phone to the 11...

I'm due for an upgrade with my carrier and my X screen has crapped out, so I'm hoping the 12 brings something worthwhile to the table (even though I'll probably get one regardless).

I think the Pro's will finally be using higher refresh rate screens. At least that is what most of the rumors are suggesting.

It's looking less promising if you want things like significantly upgraded cameras, under-screen fingerprint reader, notch-less screen, USB-C, fast charging, etc. If they manage to pull even most of that off I will be very interested, otherwise they will be falling even further behind in the tech department.

I think the Mini will be very well received, I like the idea of that phone and I am pretty sure we will be buying one to replace the wife's iP8.

Anecdotally based on scanning some RFD threads, i think carriers only started offering device credits recently this year. Mostly i've seen them tied to device financing, which is essentially their new way of doing contracts without calling them contracts.

And with Shaw mobile being recently launched i have a hunch the big 3 might be pretty aggressive on Black Friday deals but I guess we'll see.
