    Well I bought an iPhone 12 128GB.

I do like the weight, my iPhone 8 Plus weighed more than double.
Purple put you over the edge did it?

Nice phone. I need to get off my wallet and get a new one here soon.

Or better, have one important call get cut off because mine died and expense a new one.

I cracked my 8+ screen one too many times. Also the 3rd party battery I put in sucked.

I do love having the straight sides again. Soooo much easier to pick up and hold onto.

The link won't open on my PC for some reason. Assuming those are bikes with gps? I am more specifically looking into these airtags, if I hide one in my bikes, if I could effectively track them if they get stolen. Or any GPS for bike for that matter (although I really have not done my research as I type this reply lol).

This is basically iPhone of ebikes.

Before they subscribe to FindMy Network, they do have their own GPS/GSM chip that you can track your bike via their app. And there is an insurance product that you can buy on top that if your bike is stolen and not recovered, they'll just send you a new one.

That said, they also sell you bike locks and there are stories of not-recovered bikes.

The benefit of masks is not known at this time. But we do know it is some non-trivial amount more than zero.

We also know that the cost of mask use is, essentially, zero.

So the cost:benefit of mask use is approaching infinity. I'll take that every time. And every time I see someone without a mask, I think they are stupid.

For people who have experience with AppleCare plus...

    What constitutes “accidental damage”.

My Apple care plus expires in September on my iPad, and over the years has developed some pretty unsightly scratches on the screen. To me, for $50 bucks, getting the screen replaced seems like a no brainer?

Scratches count? Or does my screen have to basically be broken to get a repair?

Depends on the Apple store employee you're dealing with. Some DGAF and will give you a new unit. Some will try a repair (I guess iPad can't repair, talking about iPhone). Some will reject.

Best to take a hammer to it before going to the store.

Yea it’s an air so laminated LCD. No just replacing the glass on this one. I don’t really care if it’s new or repaired, but the scratches do bother me enough to make the deductible worth it.

So stupid that I would likely need to break it to get a covered repair.

Great new feature with the latest IOS/WatchOS.
You can enable unlock phone via watch if a mask is detected.
If your watch isn't locked and is in range, face detection will unlock if it detects a mask.

Great if you keep your watch unlocked?

Stupid if you have to passcode unlock a watch in order to face ID unlock your phone while passcode unlock phone is a single step.

If your watch is on your wrist, it stays unlocked. At least that's how mine is set up.

I tried updating my Mac Mini from Catalina to Big Sur and got this error,

The package “%@” is missing or invalid.

It's on 10.15.7 so it has the latest Catalina and it should upgrade fine. Has anyone seen this error? I'm looking to see if I can find the file instead of using the Apple prompt to force update.
