Eli looks like a little pussy, regardless of who was right or wrong. When you're that size you have to hit people when they can't fight back to look tough lol Sissy "tough guy" like that is a dime a dozen in the industry.
That tough guy when he pays to have the real tough guys behind him.
Reminds me of of Gordon Ramsay, who would never actually say such shit unless his body guards surrounded him.
Do so. It's epic.Originally posted by msommers

Haha, I'm going to leave it here, his post had over 700 shares before Facebook took it down for "language" but the owner of Knoxville got in contact with the younger brother and proper action was taken.Originally posted by googe
LOL this is the guy?

Going to leave this thread where it is in-case a future employer for Eli tries to google his name.

Is Eli Diamond his real name? It sounds like something he made it up for himself because he thought it was cool, except it's so stupid.

Maybe he is related to Dustin Diamond, aka Screech from Saved by the Bell. He just went to jail for stabbing some dude in a bar.Originally posted by SKR

"So naturally I threw up a middle finger back"
Funny what comes as second nature to some people nowadays, not that anyone deserves to be assaulted just because of that.

The one part of the OP story that really pisses me off which I didn't mention is the threats uttered by this piece of shit. "Do you want to get stabbed"?! In the state's I've lived in in the USA, he would have had NO recourse if a CCW holder was threatened in that manner and drew and put three rounds in his face for him. None.
Death threats is something in Canada that very frequently doesn't get a penalty, but IMO, saying such a thing to someone is a very serious matter, and if the victim here punched Eli "Diamond" after hearing that, it should have been a case of self defense all the way. Walk up to a CPS member in the bar and ask HIM if he'd like to be stabbed, and see what happens. Why should it be any different if it's a civilian threatened with lethal force?
Good, this is IMO the best way to seek justice for the moment, harm his and his club's reputation. Keep telling the truth and the victim's story, and the more it gets around, the more damage it will do to Diamond for being such an idiot. His next job interview it'll certainly show up in FB and google by that point. Probably the best that can be hoped for, unfortunately.Anyways the post has 700 + shares and Facebook had deleted the post so there was exposure which they wanted and the Eli guy has def heard about it...
I still think that the best way to avoid this sort of incident is to reinstitute the Calgary Police "paid duty" partnerships that existed when I was in the club business for a time. The cost to benefit was a HUGE boon to the clubs. The Back Alley would often hire 4 paid duy officers, they would treat the staff fantastically, and vice versa, and SO much violence was averted simply by their presense, and when it did happen, at least it wasn't poorly trained bar staff intervening, it was official law enforcement, who would call in doorman when THEY needed help - which did happen from time to time - but at least THEY were the authority, NOT someone with...well, no authority other than a "staff" shirt. I could go on for hours on how great this system worked, and how incredibly effective the CPS was in dealing with issues inside, outside, after hours, all of it. In my case times where I would have to engage with someone becoming violent, by the time I had my hands on them and would be trying to steer them out, CPS would come crashing in before I'd taken my third step in most cases, and it was just a matter of handing it off to them. Simple.
I became very good friends with a few of the paid duty officers during that year of my life working in a few clubs, and in my experience they dealt very fairly with those who chose to be idiots in the clubs - both patrons, AND staff, such as this Diamond. I can tell you 100% that had paid duty officers been there, the OP story wouldn't have even happened, as they would have intervened and shut it down before it got further than Diamond's stupid initial verbal behavior.
Paid duty officers were all volunteers, and it attracted the perfect type of officer to deal with night club issues. They were the "fun" cops in my experience, all great guys, that could still flip that switch and be very serious when necessary, yet still be able to interact with a club's lifeblood - its customers - in a very positive manner, when trouble wasn't brewing. It also kept the dealers and other trouble makers OUT OUT OUT in most cases. I mean who would want to risk that kind of illegal action in a place with cameras and cops on duty - some of which on occaision would be plainclothes as well. Again, I can't understand why the powers that be in CPS shut this program down in the first place, it was very mutually beneficial, and cut down on violence and other stupidity in my estimation by about 75% every night, or more.
