Maybe you confused it with laser as that is stationary.

On a sidenote, may not be a bad idea to invest in a radar detector (preferably with front and back sensors like Max 360). I do a lot of highway driving and the peace of mind is great. I sometimes see multiple signals as well so the front and rear sensors proved to be useful more than a few times. Also nice to know when the cop has only front or both front and rear radar.
