Chester - normally I'm not a fan of completely black wheels, but on your car in white, that is fantastic. Love it.

Shelby - PM incoming. Complete track noob, I do have training and experience in PSD driving (Bondurant school and a couple others), but that is far from race school training. Is there any decent "book" learning I can do from a good source (vid or pdf/whatever) that you yahoos here can recommend, prior to getting myself on to a actual track. My missus has done autocross (USA) a fair bit, but again, a parking lot isn't a track, and she's inexperienced to, but wants to track her cars this year.

Kilramos - laughed at your parking school of thought, I wonder how many of us use that same scan when looking for spots for 2 door coup-ays.

Another Davenport Track Day at RMM. A great way to get on the track at a low price, if you don’t have any formal track time, which is a requirement for RMM Public Track days. They split the group into beginner, intermediate and advanced and do lead-follow with a pro for the beginners to learn the track etc. Next one is June 19. PM me if you’re considering going and have questions.

That reminds me, I raced this for a 2hr stint in an 8hr race at RMM on Saturday. It's no GT3RS but it did the whole 8hrs on one set of brakes/tires and had no mechanical failures.


Was 1st in our class with 30 mins to go then got collected in an accident and had to come into the pits for a talking to (approx 2 lap penalty). Finished 2nd in class 30s behind 1st after 8hrs.

Yea GTS Targa like that is definitely on the list of p cars I’d own.

If I were to get a 911 again and if it's not a GT car or a Turbo, it would need to be a Targa and Targa GTS is just the perfect combo.
