I mean, that's about what I would expect from a Nissan.

Guy who posted that pic did not provide sufficient info for anyone to figure out what the fuck happened here. No before shot, no description of what shop did the work. Just a facebook level of passive aggressive whining. I rate it 1/10.

Idk, I think it was sufficient. I assume he bought a new car, presumably got charged in the high 3 to low 4 figures for "PDI", which generally refers to the process of the dealership getting one of their monkeys to take the plastic wrap off it, and they didn't do a good job of removing said plastic wrap. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. the "soft touch" bristles stuck in the center cap does it for me. you know it was treated and prepped well.
It's a Sentra my friend rented with 175km on it, so it's brand new. The bullshit plastic shipping wrap and some stickers on the wheels/tires weren't even properly removed during the "Freight & PDI" portion of the bullshit charges new vehicles come with. Or whatever fucking line item someone wants to "ummAckshuallly" say that removal is supposed to happen in. It's something a customer paid for that got done majorly half-assed.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
So sometimes consumers pay a fee for PDI when they buy a car from a dealership. The big car rental companies often DON"T pay a fee to a dealership for that service. Your friend certainly didn't pay a fee for that service in any event.
So I stand by my statement that your post lacked sufficient info.

Well, turns out my assumptions were wrong.
I think the point still stands though, that there's absolutely zero value in the dealer doing PDI. If it's something they don't charge volume clients for, that's a decent indicator that it's a highly discretionary item.

That doesn't stop it from being bullshit, but I have much bigger fish to fry.
I rewrote your post:
"Rental cars are hilarious. Check out this Nissan with only 175 km on it! If I bought a new car, I'd hope the PDI fee I got charged would get me better results than this pile of horseshit. "
