This winter car has became too nice to drive for winter. So it's time to lower it and drive it even less.

That looks bad ass. I am gonna JDM import something like that this winter and mod it out...I see few S class come along JDM style on the cheap. Just not sure how reliable they are.

The answer is “not”. As in, they are not reliable

Seriously though that’s a cool idea. FYI you can get German cars from Japan in LHD. I’ve toyed with that idea as well.

Problem with importing a JDM German car is that everything is in Japanese and to import a non AMG seen like a huge waste of time. Even an AMG model would devalue once it's imported. People just dont want them, myself included.

The Mini-Disc is the selling point.

I think that’s dependent on the model:

You are going to import and mod out a RHD E250? I can't think of a car that would be less desirable to bring over.

LHD one maybe. I toyed with bringing in an SL500/600 or 850i before, but maintenance and reliability realities came down like a wet fire blanket on that idea.

    Euro JDM RHD? Nah

I would actually recommend a W221 S-class (of course, owned by the right kind of people). The driving experience for a luxury car is incredible, they sell in high enough numbers where problems can be solved when needed using forums. My folks have had two for about 10 years and have had no issues (fingers crossed), one is actually higher mileage as well at 160k km. I think the S450 is a sweet spot car. I sold my folks a few years back for about $13k... whoever got that car (albit it is a bit light on the option list), got unbeatable value for money, that car was so good.

Would be lovely to have both of those in the garage. are they the exact same paint code/colour? I recall you mentioning that you considered many many variations of blue until you settled on this particular one.
