I’ll take responsibility for the snow today.

Swapped wheels on the Trackhawk and found that the front pads were toast.

Most expensive pads I’ve ever bought at $450 from Rockauto last fall for OEM’s. Rockauto is out of stock currently and the cheapest OEM pads I could find on the net were $660!

Fuck I also put my summers on Friday. My other car still has winters but only one seat now so we can’t take it anywhere useful.

    Wait - what?!
That's approaching exotic pricing. That sucks!
Are you also saying you burned off a set of fronts from only Autumn??!?

It is an exotic, an all weather killer - trackhawk is the answer for all things.

No, I knew they were getting down last fall so I shopped around to find the best price. Today I couldn’t remember what they cost so I went online to find them again along with a current price.

I run performance all seasons for the summer with the Jeep so I should be fine. I haven't swapped the Golf tires yet but the summers are in the garage and ready to go.

The Trackhawk front brakes are slightly bigger then the SRT which could be a reason why they’re so pricey? I’m not sure what other vehicle shares the same calipers. Although, the rear pads are pretty much the same as my CTSV yet GM pricing is half the cost as Mopar…….

I feel like I’m going to wait until May to swap for a number of reasons.

Not sure I am going to have a long relationship with the street performance tire 21’s on the X5. It’s not a fast vehicle, I don’t really understand the point.

You have a fun car already so you won’t be carving corners in the SUV. That’s the reason I run Toyo all seasons on the Jeep. They should last longer and they’re better for shoulder season.

The OEM tires from Jeep were a soft high performance summer tire as well and I blew through them in no time from launching.

The Justy entering it's 3rd 3hour endurance race. We glued tin foil to the body and put a massive joint on the roof. Name was "Baked Potato". Had a potato cooking under the good too, with a lot of garlic.

The Justy engine started the race f#cked, so it only made it 15 laps this year. It won, in previous years. Now I'm on the hunt for a 1.2L replacement engine, or a new $500 car for next year. If anyone knows "Hagen", he's the guy I bought the car from. I don't have his contact info. I believe he's on beyond.
There were 2x Subaru outbacks and an AWD Volvo turbo wagon. These were kicking ass in the mud this year.

I'd sell my girlfriends GC8 for 600 if you let me keep the brand new winter tires on it. I'm assuming you'll want to put ATV tires on it anyways. I got her an 08 subaru to drive so will be selling this in a month or so. Automatic but still peppy and fun to beat on, decent amount of jam from its 2.2L

How is the e drive cayenne so far?

Does the amount of power in electric mode seem adequate?

Around town it has sufficient jam with 120hp, but 184ftlbs of torque. It's regular SUV driving speed no problem up to 120kph, but it is a bit more sluggish picking up the last few kph as wind resistance and pushing the enormous tires takes a lot more power at speed. We did the advertised 50km of range on electric only going to get the new plate. So for the daycare run I'm hoping my wife can keep the engine off. I haven't really gotten too far into the rev range yet as it only had 13km on it at delivery and I'd like to get through the break-in period before finding out what the combined power is like.

The driving I did in hybrid mode is very nice. The electric motor does a great job of torque fill when the engine is off boost and the auto-start stop function is not noticed at all and the switchover from electric to combustion is seamless. Braking is a bit weird because the first part of the pedal is brake by wire until you need more then it's hydraulic. Sport and sport+ fire up the engine and transmission in higher modes and use the electric to give even more boost.
