I was behind you the other day on MacLeod just by heritage point. Awesome stance on your car.

8 series isn't that great. They are down to the 5 basically. I'd get an x7 for the wife though.
You keep saying that. Don't do anything stupid. The GLS is the correct choice in that segment.

@Buster if you’re looking for a new SUV, this is a great shootout between some of the best. Skip to 24:00 for the conclusion on which one is favoured.

I think you're right...the new GLS is really nice. We had a GLS before and liked it a lot. @90_Shelby - we need a full size SUV unfortunately. There aren't that many options. Basically the Atlas, the GLS and the X7. I like captain's in the second row. We have an Atlas right now and it's been great as the kids have destroyed it.

Disagree, I really like the 8.

The M850i coupe is the only correct model though.

As for full size SUV. I still say get a suburban (or Escalade if that’s your peroration), I can’t get my head around the value proposition of the GLS. Personally. X7 not even on my radar if I wanted a people mover.

Body on frame SUVs are still really compromised unless you need to tow. I prefer full sized crossovers when it comes to urban people moving.

Yukon XL AT4. Cool factor outweighs body on frame compromise.

Besides with the new full size GM SUVs, aren't they much less compromised than before due to new suspension? Or something?

I'd rather a swift kick in the nuts, than drive an escalade.

Yukon AT4 would be really excellent. It’s probably what I will replace my Sierra with unless my bed needs increase dramatically in the next 5 years.

Oh man I've been tempted by the M850 coupe since I first laid my eyes on it. I am resisting though as the next move I make, I want it to be something real special.

I run three vehicles generally. Something fun for me, a DD for me, and an appliance for the wife/family. My wife prefers to have a nice appliance.

Body on frame SUVs tend to have a move compromised third row/second row because of the higher floor in the back.

RL would be my DD and for mountain biking, etc.

Escalade I actually quite like now, and the tech in it is pretty cool.

New GMs (Escalade/Yukon) & Fords (Navi/Expedition) both have independent rear suspension, so the floor is flat and cargo load height isn't as bad... Plus GM has finally nixed the column shifter, so it doesn't seem as 1980s...

Both offer better 3rd row & cargo room than any of the imports and there's something that's less cringe-inducing about kids in a domestic than the Germans.

If you don't need quite as much space, the GLS is the amazing if you (or the wife) want something a little nicer than the Atlas... Like all current BMW products, you couldn't pay me to drive an X7, even though for a while I was strangely excited about the prospect of an Alpina X7

You just turfed an Aston Martin. I dunno what counts as special in your books anymore.

I think the diff raises the floor in the back? I might be wrong, I haven't looked into them. Maybe I'll take a look at the new escalade, it seems nice.

Haha, I can see a trackhawk reference a mile away!

Although my wife really likes the Atlas now, I heard a shit ton of complaining at first as it replaced her Merc. No way I can get her into an FCA.

Lol. I need my doors to go up. That's special to me so McLaren or a Lambo. And to be honest, I want to focus on establishing my own firm right now and divert my time, attention and money towards that (and some other investments). Once that is done then I will worry about vehicles again - that's the plan anyway and I need to stay strong on it.
