Get the heart rate up a bit with the foam brush, squeegee windows and towel dry door jams then go for a quick spin to air dry. Get home then spray the tires with armor all.
What you have just described is car care sacrilege.

Haha that's what I was thinking. Great way to ruin your paint and wind up with a dirty car by the time you get home

Yuh, I'm the same and go once a week usually. Nice little task to batch with another errand. Get the heart rate up a bit with the foam brush, squeegee windows and towel dry door jams then go for a quick spin to air dry. Get home then spray the tires with armor all. This is all for summer only, as in winter, the objectives are different. Occasionally, I wipe/hand-vac the interior if the kids' footprints and snack crumbs become too much to bear.
God damn, Macan GTS gets the foam brush treatment eh?

We’ll remember that when you sell the car.

Haha is it really that bad?? I soap wash first so the paint is wet then use the brush (if needed) in two stages; first go around is the top half of the car, windows and hood, and then I go to the lower part. The brush bristles are very soft and I'm not really "scrubbing"; there's a lot of soap sudsing out too. It's a metallic silver paint, I don't see any swirls even in bright sunlight. Once a year, I do a full detail with stage 1 polish so that hopefully would fill in any inadvertent missteps.

Forgive me Beyond, for I have sinned

If you consider washing your vehicle with a mild sandpaper bad then yes its that bad.

Silver will be one of the most forgiving colours but it'll still be all swirled to shit.

It took me three days to decide this driveway is going to be a shitshow when it snows so I went and bought a combo winter vehicle/wheeling rig/junk hauler/race car hauler last night. 412k and it’s probably the nicest 3rd Gen I’ve owned.
