I’d choose the R8 over a 911 turbo S any day. Every 911 except the GT3 is boring af to drive compared to the R8. Put a titanium exhaust on and you’ll never go to anything less than V10 haha. I did the quicksilver exhaust on my R8 and it sounds incredible, highly recommend it.

Haha I've already been looking online for what sort of exhaust I need for it. It sounds mental when you put your foot down but pretty mundane when driving normally for stock exhaust. So it definitely needs to be woken up a bit. Quicksilver was one option I was considering. Still researching - would prefer a valvetronic system for sure.

This thing looks pretty wicked but seems like a no-name Chinese brand. Would look sweet from the back through the mesh as the exhaust work is visible.

I did a lot of research and quicksilver was the best bang for the buck. Valves closed it sounds just as quiet as the stock with them closed. Pm me your phone # if you want exhaust clips!

I had the option of a 911 Turbo S as well for around the same price point but I picked this cause it just feels a little more 'special'. There are just way too many 911's running around that I feel it takes away the appeal of it for me. Every time I see one on the road, I have to get a real good look to decipher which gen it is etc. and that's always been a part of my gripe with 911's.

That being said, it wasn't an easy decision even between my 911 4S and the R8 as I hemmed and hawed for a good 2 weeks. Haha. In a perfect world, I wouldn't need to choose but such is the downside of not being made of money. But we will see what the future holds. Haha.

You mean the ATE Super Blue? It’s not really available in Canada anymore, I use TRW GP600 in my car but it’s on stock calipers still.
