    Not sure if I should keep the chrome trim around the Panamericana grill (which looks like the original that the current is based on) or black it out which all the new AMG's Panamericana grill is based off of.

    Original reference:

    Current AMG's (C63 as example):

    edit - here's a E450 grill retrofit with the chrome blacked out. Looks off to me for some reason.

    Polished the haze out of my headlights. The pictures suck, but it's night and day different. Use the most aggressive grit pads in my mother's nulens kit and all kinds of yellow crap came out. Took around 90 minutes for both sides.
    Before, looking like there's moisture inside:

    After (with some water droplets still on it)

    Much better! I was fortunate enough to get the car without any severe wearing on my headlights. Since then I've been using Meguiar's headlight sealant every time I wax the car. Anyway, I touched up the headlights again, claybar-ed, polished, and waxed the car. Then of course got a fresh coat of mud on the tires courtesy of my back alley.

    I really like these cars. I was never in a spot where I could buy a new one, but maybe I'll be able to pick up a used one someday.

    I bought a thermometer for my old truck because it gets pretty warm with no carpet or insulation, and I wanted to see how hot it actually got. 90 Celsius on the floorboard seems pretty spicy.

    Perfect amount of poke as per my liking! Wouldn’t have mind slightly more even lol but happy with it.

    No rubbing at all no issues. I researched the shit out of this setup on wrangler forums before ordering. Didn’t need to upgrade the tire carrier.

    Don’t take it off-road... no way in hell that won’t hit at full articulation

    People on forums go off-roading all the time with similar setups without any issues. There are tons of videos on YouTube as well to the affect, "biggest tire possible without rubbing". 33" is the consensus so I stuck with that. I am sure if you're doing hardcore off-roading it'll be an issue but for day to day and some light trails it's fine.

    I don’t think even my 275’s (32” tall, 11” wide) are immune from rubbing without changing the suspension geometry.

    Eh, there's not much poking past the fender, it'll be tight but I think they'll tuck up in there under articulation. They might rub on a straight bump but you'd have to hit it pretty hard.

    Backspacing and width have a lot to do with clearing 33” tires, I still think you’ll hit based on my experiences, but I also had a detachable sway bar so got more articulation

    Yea so the key based on all the research was that whatever rims I go with has to have 4.5" backspacing. Sort of like the 'magical' number to avoid all rubbing issues apparently.

    First post here in this thread talks about it;

    (PS: A mod should move all this discussion to the Jeep Wrangler post too I guess). Haha.
