"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Maybe not the right thread - but - if you store a vehicle with a full tank, any concern with the water settling out?
Seeing all our fuel is ethanol'd now.
I tend to store with empty fuel, and fresh oil change.

Wouldn’t empty be worse and give way for more oxygen/corrosion?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Maybe after like 5 years. But yeah I store with empty fuel too and a fresh tank when I pull something out in spring. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I too store all mine close to empty, with a little Sta-Bil added for peace of mind. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The "theory" behind having a full tank is that the temperature fluctuations (which are wild, here) MAY result in warm, damp air being pulled into the fuel tank and then later condensing and potentially contaminating the fuel tank with moisture/water which can cause two key issues. 1 being fuel + water and the other being water causing corrosion within the tank.
The first one is sus at best while the second only makes sense in ancient tanks that are made of materials where rust is a big concern, which is rare in "modern" vehicle, but fully a legit concern in older vehicles.
Even old steel tanks are usually galvanized or at least coated
Winter mode activated on the family hauler
Winter tires on. "New" winter wheels look decent. Pretty happy with them
Damn, I love wagons.
Vehicle clean up day. Sometimes I question myself to why I hoard this many cars I don't drive.
I for one appreciate and admire you.
