    Nice!

A friend just picked up a V12 Vantage (again)... Is that MJ's?

Not of the whole car (at least not recently) as I was just focusing on finally finishing the supercharger install. Took more finagling than expected. 1968 GT350, it's not a lot of boost by any means (5-7psi) but it certainly perked things up.

Here's what it looks like sans blower and upper half of the carb enclosure.

The enclosure doesn't come drilled for any through-fittings so I had to drill and install bulkhead fittings for fuel/power/vacuum. Washer reservoir changed, coil relocated, water hose riser changed, boost-referenced fuel pump, among other things.

It's my father's car, he's had it since the late 70s, I just turn wrenches on it. This is the only recent pic I have handy, until the supercharger project it hadn't had a lot of recent attention as we were working on finishing the GTX. It does get driven frequently though.

Seems like a carb hat would have been easier no?

Unquestionably, a blow-through carb setup would have been easier. This is meant to be a period-correct installation, the carb enclosure with white SN60 Paxton blower is what would have been installed on a 1968 Shelby that was delivered with the dealer-installed supercharger option.

Technically, we should have used an Autolite carb to be completely correct, but we prefer Holleys in general and you can't see it in the enclosure anyway.

Yup the oldschool way is to box up the whole carb and boost it, blowthru is relatively new. Paxton used to sell this:

Dang, that's rough. My dad missed out on the convertible hemi GTX the guy was selling but managed to buy his hardtop a few years later. Would have been in the late 80s, car was an pretty bad shape.

Awesome. Love the GTX and the period correct blower install on the GT350.

There was a Dodge dealership "Mr. Norm's" in the 70's who did dealer installed blowers on old Dusters just like that.

And Sentry nailed it with that Paxton kit as well, I remember that exact style when I worked at Davenport.
    I like neat cars.

Early 80's for my dad, I think it was also a convertible. He had a few 69 z28's so it wasn't the end of the world for him. He still talks about it tho haha

It's easier when you can wipe your tears on your multiple Z28s haha. He had a '68 GTX 440 4-speed before this one, lot of good memories of that car.
