    How do you like those wheel dolleys? Worth the bother versus just snugging the car in close?

    I think so, but I guess it depends on the size of your garage. That garage is small, only 20x20 so it opens up a lot of room with one car pushed out of the way especially since I store other crap in there.

    This summer I was swapping the Jeep and Porsche out fairly regularly out of that garage and it was way too tight with the other car just on the ground. Once I put it on dollies it was way easier.
    I like neat cars.

    Mines a very narrow 3 (28x19) and the third bay is a PIA to get a car into. If I can just park in the main bay and slide/spin whatever car I’m not driving this week over to that bay on dollys that would be useful I think.

    Might need to look into a set.

    I have some ideas for a more permanent fix for the issue but they are $$$ and not a slam dunk from a permitting standpoint.

    Dollies are primo.... as long as the floor doesn't have a single pebble, stone or grain of rice in the path of travel.

    Also best to have a second set of hands/eyes. It sorta needs to get rocked to get going and not the easiest to stop.

    Another vote for dollies, often on sale at princess auto. My car got tucked in its spot a few days ago.
    @90_Shelby - what's on the the dollies?

    In keeping with the covered cars.....

    Put the top up and covered it yesterday. In the past, on rare occasion, I have driven it (top always down of course) during winter months as long as streets are dry, and there has been recent rain (cleaning all the salt /dust off the streets). The car actually gets nice and toasty as hot air from the engine wafts into the cabin. I don't see a drive happening anytime soon given how quickly temps have dropped. If its nice on Xmas day I'll take her out

    I've got you beat. My cover is probably worth more than the truck underneath it, and the fuckin thing is probably blown off by now anyway.

    Crown Vic too thicc. Needs both covers, the silver one fits my Subaru when I store it for summer, and the blue one was a fitted cover for my old M5 which was not exactly a small car.

    I was away from home for so long that I didn't get a chance to wash the car before putting it away so mine isn't even covered, but its in the shop I guess.

    There’s no harm firing it up once a month and driving around the parkade? Can also hand wash it in the lower level too if it gets gross
    For me, I normally wouldn’t fire up the car in the winter if I can’t get the engine up to operating temperature. Park it and save some money on insurance.

    I’m also not a fan of washing and immediately storing. I have found that driving at operating temperature for a little while gets water out of crevices, evaporates residual water in the engine bay and helps to avoid issues with wheel bearings and brakes.

    I usually swap on a set of old wheels and tires too which probably isn’t necessary. At the end of the day it might not matter but for me OCD usually wins out.
