We maybe fly 1-2 times a year down in the US, we are going there in August but no big deal if our daughters nexus will need to get renewed then.
Main benefit of Nexus for us is Canada reentry from international flights.
A short trip to SD or LV sounds tempting for later this year though.

Myself and two children received conditional approval recently. Still waiting on the wife's. We'd called yesterday and they didn't give any info aside from 'wait times are currently 16-18 months'.

Feb 4th submission, April 30 approved; doesn't feel like interview required.

odd, March 22 we got the conditional approval notification for our daughter's renewal.
then last night I got an email that her nexus renewal has been approved.

guess just need to wait for her new card, no need to go for our booked interview

wait for new card. you won't get a new picture. My daughter's card shows her as a newborn. Meanwhile my son needed an interview and got a new picture.

Those of you who applied for kids, were did you do this?

Did you have to set up new email accounts and stuff for them? Can't just apply for kids ones under your own account?

If me and the wife get them, is there even any point getting them for the kids since they can't travel without us anyway? Ultimately it would be 1-2 airport crossings for the whole family maximum per year and 2-3 land border crossings.

My kids are 4 and 6 and I haven’t bothered. If you and your wife both have them, the kids get tsa pre check until they’re 12 or 15 or something, and that’s all I care about.

Even pre check is being neutered.

Last week in Phoenix they had all new x ray machines and you could leave all your shit in the bag ( was with someone else so don’t use my nexus privs)

I applied for my kid online then interviewed at the airport the same place as everyone else.
