We maybe fly 1-2 times a year down in the US, we are going there in August but no big deal if our daughters nexus will need to get renewed then.
Main benefit of Nexus for us is Canada reentry from international flights.
A short trip to SD or LV sounds tempting for later this year though.

Myself and two children received conditional approval recently. Still waiting on the wife's. We'd called yesterday and they didn't give any info aside from 'wait times are currently 16-18 months'.
