Drove to Sweetgrass today for my interview. There were a couple people who were there for walk-in interviews as well. Not sure if they will get seen before the office closes for the day.

    Interview was like three minutes.
I am doing the same in September. Just curious of the process. Did you have to wait in the general queue with all the other cars to get to the interview, or is there a separate way to get to the parking lot for the interview?

Just to clarify, if you do not have other business on the USA side of the border, you DO NOT have to enter the USA. There is parking on the Canada side. The instructions are in your interview confirmation, but basically follow the red line here and park at the arrow, then you walk across a +15 bridge into the building. The signage is very good.

I went into the USA to pick up a package at the border storage place. There is also parking on the USA side.

Wife needs a renewal interview, so do both my kids. No interviews anywhere except Minnesota. Happy to go, but it's hard to get there. One is 2.5 hours from Winterpeg and the other is 4+ hours from Thunder Bay. Neither is very appealing.

Mine might expire before they get their new ones. lol

Awesome, thanks for the info. I didn't get this in a confirmation email, or any email that i can remember. I will have to double check if I am still scheduled

There's an interview confirmation page on the website when you login. Just take the turn into the town of Coutts, don't get into the line for the border.

EDIT: If you are there near lunchtime, eat at the "Hills of home cafe" in Coutts. Sweet lady runs that place and the food is simple but well-made.

I don't have my physical card yet, so I'll let you know. They said up to 6 weeks.

Sweet. I have about 6 weeks after mine before company retreat, so hopefully I get it in time for that.

Fun Fact. Nexus canceled my interview that was supposed to be in September...for both my wife and I....and they did it in April....I got 0 notification about it. So guess I am not going there in September....I tried to rebook....and there is NOTHING available anywhere except for Minnesota....fml

I don't recall if it was mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but perhaps someone knows - is there any extended grace period after expiry due to the difficulty with renewal? Ours expire like a month before our next planned trip, and it's unlikely i'll be making a trip to the US to get an interview before then. If I absolutely have to, might make a trip down to Coutts or something, but really don't want to.

All that effort and money to reduce wait times at the border.

“The problem is we go across the border a bunch of times a month to see my widow mother across the border, and we don’t want to have to wait in line.”
    That's not a problem.

It won't be when the widow mother is out of the equation.
