Those that had their renewals approved without interviews, have you changed addresses or stayed the same?
My address changed. Did my renewal online, got my card in a few weeks. No interview.

Just went through US CBP at Calgary, got my L1B interview moved up because I'm a skilled worker whose job is essential to the wellbeing of American Citizens and the economy

Nexus line was longer than the actual line, and it only starts at the actual customs line, not for security or boarding...so what's the benefit to it?

Going to the US all Nexus allows you to do for the security part is skip the line. There isn't a true Nexus line there.

My kids need interviews. Guess I’m leaving them at home.

Pro tip: Travelling from US to Canada, make sure you check in and enter in your Nexus numbers even if it's expired. You'll still get TSA Pre on your boarding passes even tho Nexus is expired. Saved us 20 mins at LAX. Since there's no TSA Pre card, you just need that checkmark on boarding passes to use the line, and not have to take anything out or take off shoes.

Welp... Submitted my nexus renewal today. We will see how long this takes.

Expires in December, so with the 1 year grace period I have ~16 months before this becomes a problem.

On the topic of interviews, do they interview most people for renewals?

If I was going to apply to get my daughter on nexus is now a good time or should I wait for my renewal to come in?
    Update to this.

Nexus renewal was just approved. No interview or follow up.

    40 days. That was quick.

Gross, I don't want to go to Ontario. Much prefer sweetgrass.

My application is now randomly approved, and I'm being sent a card. After being in limbo for months...Weird but I guess I'll take it

Same thing happened with my wife’s renewal. Maybe 2 month wait from applying online to email confirming approval.

I applied for my renewal today. I hope I don’t have to go for an interview now that the offices are starting to open up.

That isn't accurate. When entering the US, you're supposed to use the Global Entry Terminals (they teach you this when you get your NEXUS). You get expedited customs processing, the same as when using NEXUS entering Canada.

When using Global Entry terminals to enter the US and the terminal is in a Canada pre-clearance area, you can use your Nexus card. If you're entering the United States and using GE with NEXUS from other pre-clearance countries other than Canada, you can't use your NEXUS card, but can use your passport with the GE terminals.

Additional Note: You have to have your fingerprints on file with the CBP to use the GE terminals with NEXUS. If you're an older member or you don't have your prints on file, you'll need to take care of this before you use GE with NEXUS.

Mines been 6 or 7 months? Maybe more I've been waiting stuck at the schedule an interview stage even though it was a renewal....which was frustrating. Either way glad thats taken care of on its own
