Recooked for April 2021 now. Original submission was Sept 2019, approval was May 2020. I see the website now says you have 730 days from approval date to have your interview, so they've extended that I guess.
Rebooked for mid-September. I honestly do feel like I will be travelling to the USA in 2021 for work. Would be really great to have the Nexus card for those trips.

Guess I can quit checking the website to see if my application is approved or not.

Well, no drama. Just no interviews, so you stall out at that step, seemingly forever.

Mine took forever. I applied for renewal last year as it was expiring this year some time. I just got notification that it was approved and no need for an interview.

Same deal, was to expire in February...applied in August expecting delays. Just looked back at my post, and it only took two days for approval. Pretty sure I had the card the following week.

You guys been taking some sketchy trips to Columbia?

I dont know why i need to do an interview again, they should just waive that for the renewal. I started my renewal application in early 2020 before they closed the offices and my interview was one of the first ones cancelled when they closed. and have been waiting for it - re booking every quarter getting cancelled since.. what a shit show. just waive the interview requirement on renewal. those interviews are just a rubber stamp process anyways.

They have waived the interview requirements for renewal, so it's a bit weird you need one. Did your info change or did your Nexus expire before you renewed it?

Anyone have experience using your nexus card and only your nexus card to travel to the states?

Pulled out my passport on the weekend and for some bizarre reason the photo page has materially faded, only a couple years old and kept right next to my wife’s which is fine. No clue what happened there but it’s to the point where I worry it won’t be accepted at the border.

That said… I have nexus. Which should technically work?

Or should I just apply for an expedited passport replacement and avoid issues at the border?

If the barcode on the bottom of the photo page is fine, it's nbd. Just bring the passport with you as backup but should have no issues flying with NEXUS card only.

I had applied for renewal before the pandemic and had an interview booked once they started closing their offices. so my renewal is in no mans land. and yes i applied before the expiration as well so I am not sure what the problem is as my account still says book an interivew. yet i have 700+ days to book an interview...somthing is screwy thats for sure.

If you applied before it expired then you're all good, they extended the expiry date and interview window so you can continue using until they resume the interviews.

Is an interview required for renewal?

We both applied for renewal back in September and just got notification that my renewal has been approved but my wife is still pending.
I'm assuming we are getting a new card?
