    Default Rogers Share Everything Question

Before I call in to Rogers I am sure someone here has the answer to this.

My gf and I are both with Rogers no tabs. She has a 6gb data plan and pays $75. I have a 2gb data plan and I pay $65. Combined it's $140+tax but cause she always goes over the bill is more.

Rogers has a share everything plan 15gb for $155. Looks legit.

My question is, is it $155 + tax ALL IN for the both of us?

Or I get that plan, share the data but the extra phone line (hers) costs me $45 per month which brings the bill to $200?

Holy shit they have jacked up the prices since i joined... anyway now it looks like
You will pay $155 (with long distance, or $150 wthout long distance) for the first line + data
and the 2nd line is either $50 for only local calling or $55 for canada wide calling.

    so you'd be $200-$210

I'm all in at $145/month for two lines, 7GB shared, Canada wide calling, US calling at $0.10/ minute, international texting and Center Ice on a two year term, oh and Shomi or something like that which I don't watch. This also includes the call waiting, call forwarding, voice mail, caller ID... the usual stuff. Being able to watch all the NHL games is great, this works on my phone, Roku, Apple TV, Nvidia Shield and I think it is available in Kodi too if I remember.

Just be sure you check the coverage that Koodo has along with the other carriers.

Koodo is owned by Telus iirc so coverage should be pretty good.

The $48 Koodo Manitoba plan there's a recent thread about it on here.

So thanks to this thread I actually checked my account... Turns out I've been paying a tab for a paid for phone for the last 7 months... Now I'm on a retention plan for $170... 2 lines, 10gb, 2x iPhone convenience packs, canada wide unlimited plan with the centre ice or games centre or whatever and shomi... Plus a $10/month discount for the next 7 months

I've been doing this with good success:

    http://www.fido.ca/consumer/tablets

$15 for 3GB, $10 per additional GB. As long as you don't use phone minutes ($1/min) or text messaging ($0.25 per text) it's the cheapest data plan available and prices will grow with your monthly data needs.

Not using text is easy, WhatsApp, hangouts, imessage. So many options.

For phone calls, you can use voip such as hangouts or FaceTime, which IMO has better audio quality than regular phone calls through cell providers anyways and is robust enough to carry a perfect quality conversation even on a drive home over LTE.

Of course, knowing your gf, she's gonna fuck it up anyways and rack up call minutes and text messages.

dunno what's going on with my usage haha before i only had 1gb and it was never a problem. they offered me 2gb so I took it but recently i have been going over. 1gb over is $15. so stupid. LOL budgetballer $15 or not, paying a lot for a cellphone is definitely up there on the things I hate. haha

anyway, we decided to keep it separate. she's calling in to see what she can get me. she's good at threatening to leave.

Well I wanted to take the deal but turns out she was already off the phone. She said she can get a better deal tmr when shit gets real.

Considering two years ago I was paying $75 for 1gb, this past year $65 for 2gb, I am quite content with 5gb for $80!

Also, don't really want to switch. I gotta ask, isn't Fido/Rogers the same thing? Why is Fido cheaper?!
