Enable authority for components of the TSA that apply exclusively within city boundaries (below):
Changes to the ‘default’
speed limit on residential
streets
Back-in angled parking
Variable speed limit signage
Parking next to painted
curbs
Provide cities with greater
flexibility to address cyclist infrastructure and operational issues
Allowing for parking fines to be increased.
Allow cities to change the default maximum speed limits.
Allow cities to distinguish between commercial trucking vehicles and municipal fleet vehicles.
Further, use the Transportation Policy and Planning Table as an avenue to raise necessary changes to the TSA with Alberta Transportation in a more streamlined way, and provide a mechanism for the Minister of Transportation to ensure implementation
