The original was also well before my time, but just reading the concept of the original + trailer seems pretty interesting for sure, a good handful of decent big name actors too.

The pilot was a bit slow. HBO generally doesn't put out shit so I will keep watching for a while.

I remember watching the original movie in 1973 as well as reading the novel. Will be interesting to see how this series compares

Phenomenal. TV budgets have really caught up. Sets and special effects look as good as any movie. I guess TV production quality has been pretty good for a while. I don't normally watch TV series.

Cast is stellar also.

great show, im a sucker for western scifi (RIP Firefly) and I didnt known what to expect from the trailer.
Just watched ep2 and hopefully I can watch ep3 later this weekend

I'm liking it so far. There can be quite a few storylines.

Robert's (Hopkins) background, his idea of the Westworld, so far he seems to be against the hosts having self conscious.

Bernard's (Wright) motivation, he seems to be interested in developing self conscious for the hosts in secret.

Man in black's (Harris) quest for finding the maze.

The hosts, Dolores (the oldest host?), the madam (Newton), the gunslinger (Marsden)

The guests

There are lots of content that they can work on, let's see how it goes.
