Last Friday I got a speeding ticket for doing 87 on a 60 zone.
When I looked at the ticket cop checked two boxes one check against the Estimated box another one against the radar/laser box.
Is this normal?

Not sure if it is normal, but either check means he feels he had reason to provide a ticket.
Fairly certain both can be checked - on the surface it doesn't make sense (i.e. was it visually estimated or was it radar based - without knowing, how can one prepare to argue against it), but my understanding is when both are checked, the officer saw you speeding (in his/her eyes) and then hit you with the radar.
Yes, because we estimate the speed of a vehicle and the laser is used to verify our estimation. (or completely invalidate it)
