When does Part 7 start? lol

Will there be an option " I was laid off, but am back working at the same company" ?? If so, i will fall into that category...

Very true, I could be wrong but even if one claims bankruptcy as a director of the corporation they are still personally liable for full GST payment (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The only thing directors are personally liable for.

    GST is some serious shit!

Yeah, GST is seen as the governments money from the second you collect it. It's a tax on your customers, not your company, and as such, your company's financial health/profits etc don't make a difference to them.

I'm pretty sure cancer-man and I have had this talk in person. Makes me want to drink just thinking about it all.

Were you at the AGM today? I heard there were going to be fireworks, but really, there's limited power even fairly large shareholders have.

Anyone show up in costume? Heard of one AGM where a disgruntled shareholder showed up in a chicken suit. I think he was trying to make some point about poor corporate governance, but really, it's hard to say.

You are right. Technically directors are liable for all taxes, but the GST is kiss of death.

No; just reading up on it through LinkedIn, and hearing things through the grapevine

Well due to RDS selling off their oilsands assets it looks like the writing is on the wall for my wife's entire division.

is it premature to start a part 8 thread? I want vastly simplified poll options for that next one.

Geology jobs are at least available these days it seems. A bunch of our lab group has internships or full time positions in Calgary - MSc. graduates/candidates. Some undergrads got jobs but more of them are doing mining than O&G.

Yah my sister is stuck mining out in Flin Flon... been very hard for her graduating in 2015. She couldn't find anything here until eventually a connection helped her wayyy out there. Keeps trying to get back to YYC but the junior geology jobs are extremely scarce and so many applicants
