When does Part 7 start? lol
Will there be an option " I was laid off, but am back working at the same company" ?? If so, i will fall into that category...
There have been layoffs but there will not likely be anymore
There have been layoffs and there will likely be more
Steady as she goes - No layoffs yet and there will likely not be any coming
I'm currently looking for work because I was laid off/quit.
Our company is actively hiring
I switched industries
I may have been laid off/quit but I am back in school

How about
I got laid off, then got hired back by the same company, then quit and left the province in pursuit of a new job and better climate only to get snowed in on a weekly basis in Vancouver?
of 2013 never received a dime federally or provincially and theY want 1800.00 bucks for G.S.T. 4 years later after showing a loss of over 100k and money out of pocket to pay employees. FK them.

Good luck, they're absolute bastards about GST.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
WTF!!! Hopefully you can just file an appeal and get an appeals officer with half a brain to fix this for you
Very true, I could be wrong but even if one claims bankruptcy as a director of the corporation they are still personally liable for full GST payment (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The only thing directors are personally liable for.Originally posted by suntan

GST is some serious shit!
Sig was pwned by Moderator!
Yeah, GST is seen as the governments money from the second you collect it. It's a tax on your customers, not your company, and as such, your company's financial health/profits etc don't make a difference to them.
I'm pretty sure cancer-man and I have had this talk in person. Makes me want to drink just thinking about it all.

Yikes. People are not happy with the Cenovus buy of Conoco.
Were you at the AGM today? I heard there were going to be fireworks, but really, there's limited power even fairly large shareholders have.
Anyone show up in costume? Heard of one AGM where a disgruntled shareholder showed up in a chicken suit. I think he was trying to make some point about poor corporate governance, but really, it's hard to say.

You are right. Technically directors are liable for all taxes, but the GST is kiss of death.Originally posted by Zhariak

Well due to RDS selling off their oilsands assets it looks like the writing is on the wall for my wife's entire division.
is it premature to start a part 8 thread? I want vastly simplified poll options for that next one.

Geology jobs are at least available these days it seems. A bunch of our lab group has internships or full time positions in Calgary - MSc. graduates/candidates. Some undergrads got jobs but more of them are doing mining than O&G.

Yah my sister is stuck mining out in Flin Flon... been very hard for her graduating in 2015. She couldn't find anything here until eventually a connection helped her wayyy out there. Keeps trying to get back to YYC but the junior geology jobs are extremely scarce and so many applicants
