Is it possible to see court judgements online?

OK, here is the story.

In my youth, I used to run with the totally wrong crowd. I soon came to realize this, and left that circle of friends.

Well, the other day, I got notice that one of them had passed away, and remembered he had sent me a FB friend request like 5 years ago, and sure enough, was still there. So thinking I might be able to find something, I accepted it.

No info. ah well.

But I did see another person from that old circle of friends. This fucker just about got me thrown in jail. Saw his name, and clicked it. Apparently he is in jail, again.

His FB post on March 1st says:

two years less a day... shipping out to calgary/spy hill on tuesday... hopefully get some letters ppl... would like to hear from you all. will keep updating as things go....

So he was living in Medicine Hat apparently...

But anyways, I was just curious what he was being shipped away for THIS time.

His name is Ryan Bowden, and just as an FYI, if you ever come across him in your travels, just turn around and walk the other way.

but, would anyone be able to find out what he did this time?

Mischief and Theft charges

Medicine Hat Police had a pair of alleged vehicle thieves in their sight on Thursday.

Officers say two men around Jackson's Dodge on Strachan Road and watched as one man tried to steal a vehicle - the attempt was unsuccessful.

Officer say the pair then moved on the Murray Chevrolet where they did allegedly manage to steal a vehicle.

They were arrested while trying to take a license plate at a nearby parking lot.

Police say 33 year old Ryan Bowden and 40 year old Kerry Stratton are both facing mischief and theft charges.

No word on court dates.

yeah, he is a pretty big waste of skin.

but that is dated feb 5th last year. would that be this case he just got sentenced for?

It is possible that he got sentenced now, all depends on when his trial was scheduled for and stuff. Not every decision gets reported and it doesn't really sound like something that would be reported.

before I lost contact with him like 10+ years ago, he had already been in and out like 4 times.

I just can't understand how people can keep doing this...

Not likely for criminal trials unless there is a reported case.

You would have to go to the courthouse and do a search to find out for sure - it's all public record, so you could get that info, but I think it might cost $10.

That said, I would bet that this is not related to the Medicine Hat charges linked earlier, because he wouldn't likely be going to Spy Hill from Medicine Hat - He'd be going to the Lethbridge correctional facility, but they can sometimes transfer to be in a facility closer to family, or whatever.

I think it would be safe to guess given the history that's been dug up here that it's for vehicle/property theft that he's going to jail again.

It sounds like he's one of those crackheads doing 'a life sentence on the installment plan', meaning that he's continuously reoffending when released and then getting shipped back to jail.

Depends on which facility has room at the time. Medicine Hat is just Remand, so once sentenced. They usually put people on the "Travel Alberta Plan" which could easily find him at Calgary Correctional.
