Who's Your Go To MR2 Local Shop?

I picked up a '92 JDM MR2 a month or so ago and want to know if there's a trusted local shop you guys go to for mechanical and performance work?

I was also suggested to check out Vex Performance. I'll go visit both and see how it goes.

I don't think Vex knows MR2's very well. I asked them about a head gasket job once, and they told me it's over 40 hours of labour and I'm better off buying a new car. Autodream quoted me less than half the hours for the same job.

Also there's no real "go to shop' around here for MR2's.

I ended up at Balance Auto tonight to see how much it would be to replace a knock sensor and to look at a no-start issue I've been having off and on. The car decided it wanted to stay longer and wouldn't start at all after I dropped off the car

Thanks. It'll be nice to drive something besides a SUV or minivan (and without screaming kids)

Thanks Ryan. Remembering your MR2 from a decade ago helped influence my decision when I began my search for a 90's Japanese sport compact. I wish I could have found a turbo LHD in good condition and within my budget but I'm happy with this JDM one I got. Hopefully I get to see your MR2 next year at a meet or car show
