I want one, but have no need for anything resembling an off-road vehicle...and only a mild need for a truck.

I hate Canadian car sites. They always seem to be way behind in terms of putting up vehicle builders and such. I can go to the US site and build one. MB is like that too.

I thought long and hard, and I have come to the conclusion that I am just not a fan.

I think this thing is trying to be too much. If you want a jeep, buy a jeep. If you want a truck, buy a truck. I don't think this jeep truck thing does either very well.

I mean. I would never consider this over a raptor. Even the ranger raptor is likely better.

It looks cool though and end of the day when you see 3000 F150’s a day I can see the appeal of driving something different.

Sounds crazy but these will sell no problem i bet. The jeep market is insane now and once the celebs/rich folk start modding the jeep trucks its just going to add fuel to that fire. I cant wait to see one done up. For what it is its got some decent numbers for a jeep truck but realistically these are going to me more show horses than work horse

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

A 2-door version actually would have been sweet.

They have a couple of concepts in MOAB, that are similar. Probably never see production though.

Those two door concepts are pretty awesome but, I'm fairly satisfied with what they've come up with. I think the first facelift it gets will solve most of the little issues

I'm not a jeep guy, but I think this thing is going to be a big success. Enough capability to appeal to people who have occasional need for a "real" truck, but still enough jeepiness to appeal to jeep people. I assume aftermarket support will be a key part of the appeal too.

They were saying that the blue two door one (last pic in your post) was remarkably well finished and looked like a near production ready model
I'd guess because all they had to do was shorten the frame and cut the cab in 1/2. The rest is identical to the production truck. Would be neat if they released the two door version too.

I am sure a custom shop (most likely on tv) will cut one up to make a 2 door version (if one is not provided by the factory).

Eh the older Jeep trucks were good trucks. I had a 81 Jeep J10 stepside and that truck was awesome. Took out the 304 and upgraded to the 360 and it would go like stink.

Gladiator is nowhere near Raptor pricing, in Canada at least. Those are $80-$100K range. Gladiators are $50k-$65k.
