I think the longer wheelbase should help calm the road manners down a bit
You are right, even without mechanical improvements, wheelbase helps highway manners a lot. Some days I miss my CCLB truck......

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Just bumping this back up - i see the canadian pricing has been released and all of the first 4190 LAUNCH editions have been sold out, pics and reviews all over the internet...has 7500 lbs tow capacity which isn't all that bad considering all the other midsize truck capabilities.
wonder when we'll see the first one at dealerships. Anyone looking into ordering one?

Saw Doug’s review on one and thought it looked like an awesome unit. Truck practicality with Jeep ruggedness

I’m a bit tempted. I have been thoroughly enjoying my JK for the POS it is.

Wonder if they will every make a special edition with a V8. Would feel pretty silly buying a brand new Jeep and hemi swapping it right away.

The extra towing capacity would be very welcome.

I think so, the “eco” diesel... which is still a higher option on the ram than the hemi... 442ft lbs

Yea I was thinking something more in the 392 category lol

New crate Hemi’s are dirt cheap.

In any case these should be great trucks.

Because they'd never be able to make it pass crash testing.

I dont know much about the eco diesel but if its anything like the powerstroke f150 then a guy wanting the v8 hemi wont be considering this as an option. 1500 Diesels are more for fuel economy with lighter towing capabilities.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

I was going to make a comment on how I don't really understand people who buy first year vehicles. They're expensive and kinks haven't been worked out. But then I bought a '16 Focus RS so who am I to say anything like that.

I just wish this jeep had a bit more oomph. Otherwise that Rubicon looks stellar.

The one this I will admit is I am mildly impressed about is the 295HP 3.6. It’s really not that gutless. My comments of a V8 are just to be over the top.

The Transmission however is terrible, which makes me far more excited for these with a proper modern 8 speed.

A pickup truck with Jeep reliability? What could go wrong?
