    It's 157km, not 157,000km
For some reason first time I read that I couldn’t figure out what that could possibly mean.

A mclaren will last 157k km?

Edit: I am assuming that was 157 km now. Bizarre.
No problem. One of my customers has put over 80k kms on his in maybe 3 years with a tune that has the boost cranked. I like him, he's a good customer

Took the M2 Comp with the full ricer wing out for a spin this aft.

    Takeaways:

Really not that different than the regular 2 inside, Almost painfully so. That thing is begging for a stripped out interior and no back seats.

The mechanical grip is insane, just so planted. Powertrain is very smooth the S55 is a great engine, Dct felt nice but just ok. Expected more from the dct tbh, was no quicker than my Mercedes mct or the zf8 in the M5 I took our just before.

Overall though, it just lacked something. Didn’t really feel special to me. And I couldn’t hear the thing, which is hilarious because it had almost no sound proofing. Salesman and I had to try REAL hard to make it and gurgle, was much more of low mumble than the in your face antics I am used to. I swear my 235 was louder. And this had the mperf exhaust.

Edit: Wait... now that I am thinking about it. This is the car where you have to press the stupid keyfob button to make it loud. Fuck I completely forgot about that. I think it was this thread. Even my salesman must have forgotten about it.

The special part about the M2 is the fact you can pair it with a manual. I don't know why you'd get it with a DCT, it would spoil the experience.
But no one drives manuals anymore so GL finding a demo in 6MT.

If I was getting DCT I'd be looking at an M3 or even M5. To me this car doesn't make sense with a DCT.
Yup.... it also comes with rev matching doesn't it? If I were to give up my Z, I'd definitely want another manual but with rev matching.

Yup. It can even operate the clutch for you.

That is only if the car is equipped with the M Performance exhaust and they are not widely available for the M2C as of yet. Stock exhaust systems have valves in them and get louder depending on the driving mode you are in. I would never call any M2 a quiet car as they are all pretty loud as far as most new cars go these days.

Calgary BMW had a black CS sitting out front freshly washed this afternoon and I still absolutely love the proportions of it.

This car was kitted out with every Mperf part in the catalogue as a sales demo that tours the country.

If it has selectable exhaust, in quiet it will be quieter than the base car and loud mode it’s louder than base. So very likely that it was indeed quieter than your car. I have heard from many people that it’s the best sounding M car, this one just wasn’t. I think my 2 was louder but that was a long time ago.

It wasn’t just me who thought this. And I was doing everything I could to make it make noise.

Nope. No interest in turbo cars anymore unless there’s no lag. Yup, I’m a fucking smug hybrid douchebag now haha.

    Sounds like NA is best
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."
