Default Increasing key fob range using your head. (Literally)

This may have been discussed before on here as it's an old technique but I just found out about this. I thought people were pranking me when they were explaining it.

I guess putting the fob against your head increases the fob range? I found an article about this here:

Any of you guys do this?

I used to do this with the old command start systems. Just put it to my chin.

I admit I've done it before. Whether it actually worked, didn't know till now.

I seen an episode might of been Mythbusters or one of those Science shows, where one friend would be at the car, another friend would be far away and call that friend and use keyfob through the cell phone and it would work.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I've done this for years. I too cannot confirm whether or not it helps.

It works. Coming out of the mall trying to start my vehicle and nothing. Put to chin and it starts. Confirmed. No need for 30 minutes of mythbusters.

Yes, but your confirmation does nothing to help me see Kari Byron's rack.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Facinating. It's so cool that this works. I wish I knew about this earlier in life.

Yep. Works really well when you park in a surface lot and remote start from 10+ stories up. I used to watch my truck start from my office window. Only worked using the above technique

Yea it works great, Ive definitely used it a few times. In addition to pushing the fob against your chin, also open your mouth in the direction of the car. Looks stupid but works!

The human body is an excellent amplified antenna if you test it with an oscilloscope. Works better as your brain cancer count increases? Maybe.
