FYI, Big 4 keeps advertising 25% off on all 2016 Rams. Sounds like a good deal if you in the market.

Disclosure: I have no interest in Big 4, or Ram Trucks, or the number 25

That's 25% on 2017 Rams. It's a manufacturers incentive so you can get that at any Ram dealer. Then on top whatever else each dealer is willing to throw in. Dealers in Ontario have up to 35% on 2017s advertised right now.

So if paying cash, now is the best time to get a Ram.

I've been watching trucks for the last few months and 48k is the best price I found and guess what it's still 48k. They just marked up the price and gave it back. Either way 48k for a crew sport with a good chunk of options is a good starting point. Try and talk down to get below 45 would be my goal.

Anyone interested in swapping their black Honeycomb Grille inserts off their 2014+ Ram for The chrome slat inserts off a 2017 Sport?

    Please PM me if so

Does anybody have a bullydog tuner for a 2016+ ram 1500? I'm thinking about buying one but am unsure if there are better options out there for somebody who doesn't want to play around too much with tuning themselves.

Anyone ever load a quad into the back of a Ram with a 5'7" box? I need to get a quad into the back and close the tail gate so I can tow my holiday trailer. Just wondering what the easiest method is.

Likely wont happen. Not only will length be tough to sort out (but can be done w/ a riser) you will likely exceed your cargo capacity.

    EDIT: To better explain...

For example, a can-am outlander has a total length of 83. You could remove your tailgate completely and let the end of it hang off so the total length would be somewhere around 67" give or take. This would mean the tire is RIGHT on the edge of the box.

So to would get a riser to be able to push it a bit forward. Again, possible but not ideal.

For weight, the lightest outlander is 678lbs. You'll be looking at about 100lbs for the riser, straps, and a full tank of fuel (if the riser is out of aluminum). Now you are at 778lbs. Assuming you are an average male tack on 180lbs. Now that is just over 950lbs of cargo.

For a 4x4 with the 5.7 and the 5'7" box, max is 1510lbs.

That gives you 560lbs remaining. For proper towing, you want about 15% of the total trailer weight to be on the tongue of the T.V. So unless your trailer is less than 3750lbs fully loaded....you're hooped.

Have seen guys with quads in short box trucks. Usually tailgate is secured in a "nearly closed" position with a ratchet strap. Suspect airing down the quad tires could gain an inch or two.

I've seen ton's of guys pulling trailers with quads in the back of half ton short boxes too. Doesn't mean that its legal...or safe. Also a short box three quarter ton is 10" longer than a short short box in a half ton.

So what your saying is, I shouldn't disregard the cargo capacity issue.

There are ramps similar to this that you can get...

Basically, it allows you to store the quad in the back of your shortbox by lifting the front end up, and thus allowing you to close and lock your tailgate.

But yes, the quad itself is probably find in the back, but when you add a trailer, you are probably overloading your truck. You can install airbags to help with that though.

This is 100% false Spikers. Bags are for leveling. Perhaps you will be level but your axle's/tires will be overloaded. You can't escape the numbers. If you want to haul an ATV and pull something more than a tent trailer, you need a 3/4 ton...likely a 1 ton.

Yeah, i see how my comments didn't make sense. I meant to say that you can install airbags to help with keeping things level, but you still can't go over your GCVW.

Nobody is running Diablosport, bullydog or anything else? Any noticeable difference with the tuner?

    Hey Man,

I was gonna get a DiabloSport but for $1200.. I was on the fence.

My buddy at Action said he wouldnt even take a diablosport if it was given to him. Told me I should get an Bullydog or Edge Tuner, overall better tuners.
