Loving the leveling kit on my 2016 Ram 1500. Did 2.5" front and 1.5" rear. Car handles better now and feels like less of a lumber wagon in the corners.

It was the pro line kit that included control arms from The Truck Outfitters. Still on stock 20's
Let's talk about the Rambox cargo management. Looking for insight from those that have it, do you use it? What do you keep in it? If you didn't have the Rambox would it be a problem? I like the idea of them I just can't think of what I would put in there that I can't carry in the cab or in the box just as easily.

Have heard some people fill em with ice and beer for tailgating. Also handy for booster cables. Have never had them.

When I was deciding to have them or not I googled like crazy, didn’t find a single person who regretted getting them. I like them. I can still pick up sheets of wood and whatever for projects so the size is fine.
Was in a 2020 Dodge Ram today and noticed the gear stick is now a volume dial and it’s also very close to the actual volume dial.
Anyone else seen this in new cars not just these trucks?
I actually like the dial shifter, but apparently it confuses people in the rental car industry. There has been a noticeable increase in parking-lot incidents for these vehicles according to my insider source at the rental place.
The Durango has it I think, and something else, maybe one of the jeeps?

So how do these new dials change gears in the gear box? Just using electrical commands? I thought the point of a gear stick or shifter was to actually change gears in the gear box. Or am I not understanding how autos work.
Yeah, electrical. I think most autos are like that and have been for years. Not like a mechanical linkage. Or maybe some still are? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I think they introduced this 6-7 years ago in the Rams. 2010 is when it stopped being Dodge Ram too. Since then it's just Ram as its own brand. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Lots of new cars now don't have the traditional shifter anymore. Even stuff like Pilot, Odyssey, Palisade etc have buttons now.
RDX and MDX are both button shift as well. Bit odd for the first few shifts, but it's pretty intuitive and they are shaped differently so you don't need to constantly look down. Even going back and forth between a "normal" stick shift auto and the buttons isn't an issue.

I am not really a fan of the dial shift. I just prefer the column shift because it feels more connected .. I do like how with Ram removing the console shifter, it freed up space in the console.
As someone who had a 2009 with the console shifter and now has a 2019 turn dial, I MISS it.. something to hold on to, like a manual car.. its weird just having a free hand now haha! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
PS.. anyone looking for a set of 22" Rims for their 5 bolt RAMs, let me know!! ----> https://forums.beyond.ca/threads/410...averse-w-Tires
I bought my 2011 beacuse it had a centre shifter and not one on the steering column.
A colleague has one with the dial... Just looks weird to me...
It will suck when i go to buy another one and the dial is the only option available.
