yea, ive heard the SRT tunes are kinda bleh, but i have a couple buddies who tune who will help me with a custom tune. The 91 tune is supposed to be pretty good with regards to pep on the 5.7L

I remember seeing these on ebay, let me know how they turn out.

Also, I'm looking at leveling the truck and doing maybe a 3" lift, anyone running this or a similar setup? What kit did you go with?

i think the majority of complaints about A/M headlights is condensation getting in the headlamps.

i would definitely check the sealant around the housing before you install it in your truck.

Anyone here have a 2017 Sport with the projector headlight's? and know what the bulb type is for sure?

I have called several different dealers and keep getting different answers.

Some saying lows are 9012 and others saying 9005?

and 9006 for fogs and others saying fogs are a weird bulb they don't list?

internet puts me in the same situation?

Just picked up a 2017 and looking to replace the shitty halogens with Led.


Any help would be appreciated.

Just pulling the light is quite the procedure or I would do that.

2015 is a 9012 bulb, they switched back to a 9005 bulb in 2016 and 2017 for the projector lights. The fog lights are 9006 if you have the projector headlights. See the XenonDepot.com website for the bulb reference.

They are a pain to replace, but you don't need to take the grill off if you have extension to take the bolts off. I upgraded to the Philips Crystal Vision Ultra bulb and there are much better than stock.

Nice! I have the flex and I would rather have the ultra only because they improved the tailgate closing feature. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the flex.

That's why I sold my Mopar one and got the Ultra Flex so I didn't have to close the tailgate first then the tonneau cover.

I have had the back flip on my 2012 since new and it has adapted and I don't have to open it to close he tail gate.

Anyone here have any starting issues with their Rams?


Just picked up my 2017 Ram 1500 with Push button start from SouthTrail Chrysler. First day of having it went to start it and it didn't start first attempt, second attempt it cranked for 10+ second and stumbled into starting.

Brushed it off, until it happened again it happens every 20 or so starts and in-between it is fine no issues? no codes or anything.


Happened to catch it on Video sent it off to the dealer dropped the truck off and they said there are no issues. All tests came back good and "they couldn't duplicate the problem" even thought it's on video and happens randomly.
Also was told their "Finance guys Ram did that and it sorted itself out".

When it happens it does the exact same thing for the exact amount of time each time. Almost like it's software issue?

Sometime it even happens when I go to remote start the truck and it fails and disables the remote start and I need to go out to the truck and it cranks for 10+ seconds and once again stumbles into starting?


The truck only has 245k on it ( 60 when it started) just a little frustrated having to be back at the dealer already and to be told just to bring it back if it happens again?
since owning it since last Thursday it has done it 10 times.

any idea's or thoughts?

Sport model, Blue, quad cab, full leather, back up camera, tow package, few other options I'd have to look up.. Added a bakflip tonneau cover and some new tires... Asking $42k.

UPDATE: Have been told it's a software issue, say an update is coming but no ETA?

you'd think if it was a software issue other 2017 Ram's would have this issue as well?

Hey guys. Excited to be able to post in this thread. I just purchased a brand new 2016 Ram Laramie fully loaded. This is my first brand new truck and my first Ram (just upgraded from an 06 F150).

Just wondering if there any any mods you guys recommend to get right away - cosmetic or performance wise? Already got a cover and side steps put on. I read some of the air intake upgrades are pretty worthwhile and sound pretty sweet as well.

^ Have had my 17 Ram for less than a week and have a Magnaflow Catback exhaust, S&B Intake, Stubby Antenna and Bf Goodrich All-Terrain K02's on order.

Next on the list is Tri-fold cover and light window tint and Led Headlight kit.

Might throw up a bit of a Build-Thread just to keep track of everything here soon.

well, I got rid f the half ton and picked up something more work friendly.

2009 Dodge Ram 3500 QC Diesel. 4 inch lift, black projectors with HIDs, AFE intake and straight pipe. it's loud as fuck. it's been used, it's got some bumps n bruises but I'll clean it up a bit.

oh and thanks to Jordan at UrbanX south for getting me in last minute to throw the Toyo AT 285/70R17s on.
