A leftist's dream if there ever was one, forcing morality on others through their own moral relativism.

    It's so beautiful *sniff*

Prepare for the re-education camps comrades, you'll get bracelets that can't be removed to make sure you are taking your pills "for the greater good".

People have been forcing morals since the beginning of time.

The ten commandments are probably the best example, but the basics are pretty much covered by the other religions as well.

Thou shalt not kill. People tend to assume it only applies to other humans and not animals or even plants. There are people in India who subsist on dead plants (tea and milk for example) who take the whole idea to another level.

German leaders are telling the populace that they are going to ban the combustion engine. Now, you don't *really* have to follow them, but at least one should recognize that it has been stated for a reason.

Morality is not leftist. You can absolutely force rightist morals on the populace, like requiring youth to take a human life before they are indoctrinated into a society (as an extreme example)

I've always guessed that the reason that the Central US is so angry and bitter is because California hoards all the best drugs.

That and the Central US eats way too much hormone infused meat.

^ yup, right wing fundamentalist nutjob dickheads have pretty much had a monopoly on forcing their shitty morals and beliefs on people on pain of torture and death for centuries upon centuries and they continue to do so.

Finding a left wing fundamentalist nutjob is like finding a fast Honda. Theoretically it could exist, but it's never been seen in the wild.

Instead of bitching about left wing (or right wing) people trying to force their shitty beliefs and morals on others, just drop the political aspect and complain about all people trying to force their shitty beliefs and morals on others.

IMO those people can take their belief that women are property, take their belief that you shouldn't take the lords name in vain, take their belief that we should ban gluten/nuts/sugar/meat from the world, take their belief that any form of combustion engine is akin to raping babies, and shove all that up their ass, and sit on a traffic cone until it disappears.

And ironically, that "forcing on others", is mainly from the right wing religionists.

Religious ideologies are better supplanted by scientific data leading to new ways of viewing morals and ethics. Yet even those that are not religious still hold very conservative views fundamentally based on religion. Homosexuality, abortion, marijuana, etc. Many that are non religious still hold views from days past in large part to how they were raised (conservative parents, etc) and what their present situation entails. Those are rich and well off will always challenge change to societal morals as they feel it is a risk to their position in society regardless of religion or superstition. Many on this forum have no religious ideologies and embrace science when it suits them. Yet when it threatens their status in society, financial wellbeing or way of life, they oppose it in the same delusional dogmatic way as religious fundamentalists do in their own way. Recent neurological studies demonstrate how the human brain is very resilient to change and how it pushes back against data that challenges a firmly held belief. As Nietzsche expressed great concern when he stated that, "God is dead", we must now embrace new systems and methods of moral epistemology with rigor and rationality as to avoid a sort of moral nihilism that humans risk devolving into.

Can you just stop with your lengthy "grandeur" posts?

    What is your point?

Stop trying to shame people into posting their thoughts.

If you want to immortalize yourself in a sub-sub forum of a Canadian auto enthusiast website, I say its all good.

Its the other stuff (like performance tuning a combustion based car for a lifetime) that ultimately no one will remember.
