So I guess it's 2017 now, post your Top 5 shots from last year.
I'll start with mine shortly.

Looking back, I didn't realize we traveled quite a bit last year, apart from my more popular landscape shots, here are my personal favorites

Most of my shooting was people this year, but most of my favorites were architecture. Probably means I should get out on my own a little more.

Well I see the bar is set pretty high already! Earl love #3, Ryan #2 is my fav.
I didn't get out much at all last year to shoot, hopefully this year - really missing my mountains.
In no particular order:

Ryan, #2 has such a nice 3D pop.. would make a really nice wallpaper.
love the colors on #3
Matt, that Berg Lake and Gog Lake are one of your best!
2016 has been a fun year for photos, feel like I've made some good progress!

Earl: The Yosemite one is my favorite, captures the area well with people enjoying it. Sign of the times.
Ryan: That 3rd one is very interesting with the blue rectangle in the centre surrounded by gooooOOOld.
Matt: Great lighting on Nub Peak. Moody cloudy sky with a brightly lit mountain peak. Love those.
Richard: That last one of the Stagea looks awesome, very dynamic with the great snow splash.
Some spectacular photos this year guys!
Last year was the most aviation stuff we've crammed into one year and we had an absolute blast. I'm very happy that we were able to see as many differnt fighters as we did. In order of fighter designation numbers:
USN F-14 Tomcat Fighter Jet by Wilson Hui, on Flickr
Can't see these guys fly anymore. Unless maybe if you're in Iran. Probably the sexiest fighter jet of all time thanks to Top Gun.
USAF F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet by Wilson Hui, on Flickr
The F-15's shape and design is probably what most people think of when they think fighter jet. The one that Skyscream was modeled after.
USAF F-16 Viper Fighter Jet by Wilson Hui, on Flickr
A staple of the USAF. Hopefully, I'll be able to make Great Falls happen this year and catch the Thunderbirds.
USN F/A-18E/F Fighter Jet - Approaching Speed of Sound by Wilson Hui, on Flickr
Currently, the fastest moving thing I've taken a picture of so far.
F-35 Stealth Fighter Jet Canadian Debut by Wilson Hui, on Flickr
Maybe the last great fighter I'll see in my lifetime if things keep going the way they are with drones. Even if they aren't replaced by drones. The F-35 is poised to replaced the current variety with a single platform.
Catching airshows is quite a commitment financially and timewise, I don't know how Steve does it. Definitely a new found appreciation for his photos.
Happy shooting in 2017 everyone!
Someday we may need to activate the halo structure off Deerfoot and destroy the North East.
Too many photos to sift through but here are a few random ones from my favorite places in 2016:
A few of my favorites from the year, so hard to pick 5.

It has been quite the learning curve this year, after taking a couple classes, having a shot used by someone else without permission, learning what my equipment can/can't do and working around it, and reaching out to other photographers for tips, I can definitely say I'm much further ahead now that I was at the start of 2016 when I bought my camera.
This sub-forum is always a humbling experience, and it has proven a good source of information without the snobbery I have seen on other photography forums. My goals for this year include more classes, trying some landscape work, upgrading from my sl1 body, and getting into more scenarios to get good shots (with weather proof body, the snow has killed my chances of shooting on a few occasions).
My humble submissions.
