Smart. I was thinking maybe matching the date code and production batch number on the tires to that on the spare (if it's a matching full sized spare) but that's still not 100% by any means.

the police aren't an AI robotic algorithm (maybe they should be). Sometimes you will get help with trivial situations, and others will get zero help with much more grievous matters even though the evidence is clear cut. I was involved in a case where I was the victim of a fraud that spanned nation wide and involved many people that received responses along the line of, "well you're number 947 in order of complaints. Might take 5-8 years until we get to it". And I am not exaggerating either. The evidence the victims accumulated was so clear cut someone could have closed the case in 1 hour. However the case was left hanging for so long the perpetrator had plenty of time to flee to a country where there was no extradition treaty. I find police useful in minor matters and useless in more serious matters. I would love for those in the force to comment. I'm sure they will cite budget matters as a problem creating a, 'throw your arms in the air" situation. (conclusion; police won't do shit)

Texted you. Oddly enough I've got a Shiney looney to bet that it's a local crack head. Not that they can ever get the idiot behind bars for more than a few weeks...

I'll take a pass on this one as I do most of these topics these days, but that's not what I would have said because it's simply not the reason. It's a far more complicated and systemic issue than that.

The fact that we have any cops at ALL that care about ANYTHING is actually the more remarkable thing...considering unionized public employees and all.

They range out to Airdrie... Yup, 3:1 odds. Truck bed looks very similar to the one recovered on 5th Street

Awful coincidental, but... Stranger things have happened.

Go and have a look, get a pic - compare it to one of him - there's some good pics on frcwa from his Vulcan spree. Make an excuse if it's him have RCMP pay him a visit lol

I'd like to clarify that my experience with CPS has been nothing short of great. Good people, well trained and well meaning. I don't fault beat cops for what does seem like, as Phil said, a systemic issue that seemingly goes well above their pay grade.

Much as I'd love to hear your insight, I don't blame you at all. WOuld be no-win for sure with some of this group.

It's probably the wording in his post. He is selling an Escort after all.

One North one South. I don't know the precincts they went too but I assume different ones.

It was one of the saddest and most discouraging things I've ever heard. People having to buy their shit back from thieves because the police want nothing to do with it. They could have 100% arrested this individual and recovered stolen goods worth over $5,000 in an hour. Next time it might be someone who wants to take matters into their own hands, and maybe someone winds up hurt or dead.
