Those tires look absolutely fine to me

I've said it before, there are vehicles that totally deserve to get this kind of ticket, but when they start targeting OE trucks with these "add-on" tickets they have moved into abuse of the system and are no longer following the spirit of the law.

The fact that they even target people going less than 20 over the limit is ridiculous to me
That’s nowhere near OE though, those are fuel wheels someone/dealer slapped on. He’s poking a decent amount in the rear. I compared it to my f150 that has stock wheels/tires and he’s way further spaced out than I am

He has no lift and is running OE diameter tires; even if they are offset a bit, those tires are flush at worst... it still falls well within the allowable limits of what is specified in the act. It is basically a stock truck in my view.

when I say vehicles that deserve tickets, I am talking about trucks that look like this. They shouldn't even be considering trucks like spikerS

So weird that is the new “cool” with trucks (extreme poke like your picture). I remember back when I was a teen that was the kind of stuff you’d see coming out of forest lawn. Spray bombed 1st Gen s10 or Nissan hardbody with wheels poking 6inchs out of the wheel wells. People would laugh.

I think it’s like man buns, the only people that think they’re cool are the people that have them.

Driving home last night on Deerfoot, I noticed almost (95%) of the OE trucks had mudflaps. I think someone on here mentioned that the bumper or fenders have to cover at least half of the rear axle. Almost every truck out there does not cover the rear axle. The only one that seemed like it covered the rear axle was a GMC Sierra, and even then it was iffy.

I'll have to keep this in mind if I ever buy a truck.

when i said "thing" i meant it in the way that I have a stock truck that I bought new from a dealer in the same market I live and drive in, and yet, can still be ticketed for.
Vehicle dealerships/manufacturers do not have to ensure the vehicle complies to provincial law, only federal. it is up to the end user to ensure the vehicle is legal. it certainly sucks, but thats the way she goes.

While it does suck to buy a vehicle without flaps, it truly is an annoyance to everyone behind you getting rock chips. My suv bumper is below the axle and I still have flaps, keeping crap low and not damaging cars behind.

I installed some flaps on to my bro in laws f-150 as well; they keep crap off his trucks and others behind him. Not expensive at all.

Americans have this law too, and not only trucks have to meet it. Occasionally car mfg's screw up, case in point the new RS3's as shown in this vid.
